Go right ahead, but know that you'll be stealing stolen property and nothing you can do is going to make me stop using that name, so you're really just making a paltry copy as opposed to outright stealing it, so HA! :p

I'm pretty unadventurous. Like Meerbat I usually give my character my real name, Michael. Though since I normally play as a wizard-cum-paladin I think it fits well: Michael means "who is like God", a good name for a righteous man of faith and justice. :)

I was just thinking. Maybe we should call you Rog. That's what your name is in English, right? You could be a substitute until the original one comes back. :lol

Could someone in authority please reduce PotatoSlayer's gratuitous use of periods to an ellipsis or two? His post makes this thread really frikkin' annoying to read!

I usually call my hero "Gav". Or if I am feeling particularly humourous, I will use an insulting name like "douche".

Your excessive use of periods in the last post stretched the thread's width to about twice its usual value. (until I edited it) It's a tad annoying when you have to scroll horizontally to read every message on the page.

who is like God
Just to emphasize a point here. This name does not glorify the person named so, but it glorifies God. The deeper meaning of it is: "Who among gods is like God? None!"   :)

Name of Hero

#45 Post by The Avatar » Thu Feb 24, 2005 6:38 am

I've been:

Hero, Q, Iazon, Talin, Fizban, Luke,
Anakin, Shai'Tan, Rand Al'Thor, Atreyu,
Sebastian, Merlin, Raistlin, Caramon,
Sturm, Elistan, Stryder, Legolas,
Maud'dib, Avatar, Graham...

My favorite?  Which one will I use for QFGIIVGA?

"Evan"

Muad'Dib - I like that....

By the way, all you David Lynch Dune fans, check it out - extended edition DVD, May 10th - REGION 1.  Ooooh......

http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=56005

I'm pysched.  I love Lynch's Dune for some reason.  I think it's just groovy.  I like the Future-Baroque style production design.

Ooooh . . . I might actually purchase something.  I'm a fan of the book series first and foremost (except #6, which was a big let down), but the movie was very good.  Much better than that mini-series a few years ago.  It covered more events in the book than Lynch's movie did, but on the other hand it sucked.  I don't think either one would prepare someone for the immense scope of the book series, but the movie had the feeling down, which is what a movie is supposed to do anyways.  That's not something, say, George Lucas could have done.  It's strange that David Lynch did a sci-fi movie at all when you consider his other work.

Klytos, or Klitos, or Klytus .... something like that. Not very difficult for me, it's always the same. Besides I have a kickass character in QFG1 waiting for an import in QFG2VGA and his name is Klitos.

Raynur. I know it sounds weird but it's a name from a character in a story I'm creating called "Random Magic"
