Britain's First Jedi MP??

This story is too weird not to post. It seems that one of Britain's Members of Parliament, Jamie Reed, The Honourable Member for Copeland, has declared in the House that he's a Jedi! In his speech he says "as the first Jedi Member of this place, I look forward to the protection under the law that will be provided to me by the Bill." What do the British tabloids have to say about this? Is this guy for real?
