Old Site Design

#1 Post by Music Head » Sat Jul 23, 2005 5:07 am

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had a pic or the old layout for the Tierra site. I don't remember it very well and it be cool to see again to relight old fires.

PS. Wasn't there a compass at the top or something

Thanx

I think he meant the actual website, not the forums. This is the earliest one I could find through the Wayback Machine. The old Qknowledge site has been blocked by robots.txt. :(

I remember working on a theme for AGDI, using the old Tierra theme. They rejected it though, yet that was along time ago. I'd like to see a Tierra style theme again with the green and orange. It sure was an ugly theme but it's what the inside that counts.

I can see why you would ban LF again but why remove the contents? There would be no actual reason to remove contents that didn't seem bad at all otherwise you'd have removed both mine and Angelus' images.

Probably due to the fact that as he's banned the contents of the post shouldnt have existed in the first place  ;)

There's no point in banning someone and letting them re-register and post.

I understand but don't take this the wrong way as it's just a normal question. If I were to post the exact same content he had, which was non harmful at all, or to anyone else for that matter, would that be removed aswell?

This doesn't mean I'll post the image LF posted. ;)

if it was what he was baned for then yes but otherwise if it was a more harmless thing he posted then no but I can only assume as it is up to the moderators. I don't see why not though personally as long as it can't possibly offend someone or if you start posting for LF or something..

LucasFan is banned. He isn't allowed to post. Registering a new account and making a post is in direct violation of our policy against trying to get around a ban. Also, convincing others to post things for him is against the rules as far as I'm concerned.

As an organization, we are trying to steer away from the name Tierra and the game Royal Quest, but his image wasn't hurtful. If it'd been posted by someone else, it probably would have stayed. It took someone pointing out that Naf Sacul was Lucas Fan spelled backwards before I removed it, after all.

Thanks for the pictures guys! I was actually very surprised that people had pictures of the site. Although about the one you posted Bromies I am not sure if that's the first one I remember seeing. Although it may have been, but it is really hard to remember something that I didn't take note of too well when it was there.

This thread just makes me feel so new. I believe I speak for myself when I yell in my direction "NOOB!"
