AGD2 and the 'Weirding'

#1 Post by Cumboy » Wed Aug 17, 2005 6:23 am

I only recently learned that AGD2 won the QFGV competition to design an in-game monster. I remember fighting the 'Weirding' thinking it must have been someone in the U.S that designed and drew it.

Must be a wonderful feeling knowing you contributed to the final chapter in the QFG saga.

Does anyone know any links showing the original drawings? Were they ever shown online? Or perhaps would AGD2 show us a scanned image on these forums  ;)

Wow, is this true? Which character did you draw?

If you read what Cumboy said you'd know it was the "weirding".

You can probably be forgiven for thinking that, since the competition was only open to US citizens.

Bit of a downer that way but what can you do? Perhaps it was beyond Sierra's means to open the contest to out side the country. It gets expensive when translation is needed and were I live we have to wate for american films to open be cause they have to have French translations when they open here in Quebec the rest of Canada gets them sooner cause all other provinces don't require films translate by law. 8o

I'm curious as to what this Weirding looks like, does any one know where I can find pictures of it? I did an image search on Google, found nothing useful.

Is that AGD2's original drawing of the 'Weirding' NavyNuke?

Yeah, but AGD2 had a family member (or someone) enter his drawing into the competition. Seems I know more than you Navy!  :p

I so wanted to enter that competition.  :cry I've had about 10 monsters ready for posting.
