Well the PSP is released in Europe tonight at 12:01AM.
I'm hoping to get one but apparently my local store (ASDA/WAL-MART) only has 13 PSP's!!! The guy I spoke to on the phone said they did have more but some of the staff have got some. I'm sure that illegal but I was that guy I wouldnt go telling that to the public!!
So fingers crossed I get one tonight otherwise I'll have to wait god knows how long!!

That'd be a first for Sony. Their stuff tends to nearly snap in half just by looking at it. >_>Angelus3K wrote:Shame... I hear PSP's are quite sturdy... they attract dust and finger prints like bees to pollon though!
Besides, DS has already survived Mount Everest. Let's see the PSP do that.

were you watching for oncoming traffic? :p
As far as Metal Gear Acid goes it seems to have as decent of a story as the others *so I've heard anyways* but it looks like it could take some getting used too. If you played the others it should be no problem but it runs on a card system that is a little different. I think you should rent it and give it a go and if you like the mechanics of the game at all you'll enjoy the game all the way through. The game definetly has some replayabilitie and unlockables for beating the game under certain conditions and letting you see how you've done at the end. The games story is devided into two parts. The first part being a lot smaller likea prologue and the second part covering most everything. Hopefully the first part is a tutorial style segment like it was in MGS2 and 3.
Definetly worth a try and Metal Gear Ac!d 2 is coming out sometime next year.
I'd send you a copy of Metal Gear Solid 2 as I have 2 copies of the game but I'm not sure if it would work on your PS2 after all it's in the UK of all places :p

That's wicked Angelus. Which one is your favorite? Personnally I like 1 and 3. 3 for gameplay and 1 for story but 2 has a special place in there because I love the dogtags. (Almost got all of em).
Keep me updated I'd love to hear about progress if you get around to playing them. My 1000th post goes to you Angelus.

The sales numbers for PSP are looking pretty good for Europe! The sales charts are dominated by PSP releases:
With both consoles having been released world wide now it'd be interesting to see the sales numbers for the world!
And according to reports:1. Ridge Racer
2. Brian Lara International Cricket 2005
3. Wipeout Pure
4. Virtua Tennis: World Tour
5. Metal Gear AC!D
6. Need for Speed Underground: Rivals
7. Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition
8. Toca Race Driver 2
9. Tony Hawk's Underground 2: Remix
10. World Tour Soccer
11. Lumines
12. Everybody's Golf
13. Spider-man 2
14. Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade
15. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down
16. Medievil Resurrection
17. Madagascar
18. Archer Maclean's Mercury
19. Medal of Honor: European Assault
20. Cricket 2005
Not sure if the PSP has broken the DS record for fastest selling console in the UK (the article doesnt mention it) but I would assume so with those sales numbers.Sony's PSP sold roughly 185,000 units in the UK alone this week, eclipsing the Nintendo DS' 87,000. Twenty of the twenty-four lauch titles filled the Top 40 All Format Chart, with nine in the Top 10! Ridge Racer took No.1, Wipeout Pure at No.3, Virtua Tennis at No.4 and Metal Gear Ac!d at No.5

I just got advance wars Duel Strike and I'm really impressed with the way they incorporated the touch screen.
I've also just come across my own copy of Resident Evil 4 and after playing for a bit (Chapter 2-3) I realized I really like the story and would be interested in the prequals but I know the games wouldn't be the same at all. I can recall playing Resident evil 2 on my old computer and having no ammo all the time and never being able to see what I'm shooting at.
Yesterday I finally beat Skies Of Arcadia Legends after a long break from it and decided that the ending bosses were to easy. It took me 3 hours to beat the last 4 bosses yet I never even came close to dying once. Great game though and a good ending. It's all about never giving up and not being judgemental.
Well I geuss that's my update I'll try to come in more often.

Re: The Gamers Thread: The PSP Cometh (to Europe)
I got Resident Evil 4 the second it came out. I thought it was a very nice change from the fixed camera perspective. Story wasn't too bad either, just unlocking the Handcannon is a pain (still have yet to do it). Skies of Arcadia: Legends was a pretty good game as well. Thought I had a bit more to go when I was actually at the very end ot the game. Also I agree with you the end boss wans't that tough at all, had more trouble getting a few of the later bounty heads then finishing the game itself.
To Angelus, have noticed the games you are currently playing on GameCube. It's kinda funny cause I just recently replayed OOT on GC and am on the 3rd time playing Windwaker. Eternal Darkness rocked!! I finished that earlier this year(or maybe it was towards the end of last year, can't remember now), after finding out I had to beat the game 3 times to finally see the true ending.

Hey The Guy,
Yea I just recently got a cube and am loving Eternal Darkness, do you know if there any gonna be any sequels? Its quite an old game now and to my knowledge there's no sequel released yet...
Havnt had time to start OOT or WW yet, I probably will when I finish Eternal Darkness.
I'm also playing Smackdown Vs Raw in preparation for Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 in November for PS2 and PSP!
