QG2VGA: Laptop keyboard support?

#1 Post by Arne Saknoosen » Sat Oct 08, 2005 8:25 pm

Hi, as a laptop user, I've had some minor problems with the Quest for Glory games in the past, due to my lack of a numeric keypad. The games were still playable, but my options were somewhat limited, especially in QG2, where I was unable to dodge sideways or swing high or low. I was just wondering whether you would make sure that there is no need for a numeric keypad in QG2VGA, by allowing either mouse use in combat or redefinable keys.

Combat doesn't support a mouse, but you can redefine the battle keys to whatever you want. I still feel the numeric keypad is superior though. ;)

Or if you're like me, and you can't stand not having the number keypad, you could buy an external one.  I picked one up for $20 at a computer store.  It's a USB plug & play device.

Of course if you have an older laptop this will be of no help.  I do a lot of keying in numbers at work, and switching from a desktop to laptop drove me nuts.  That is, until I got the numeric keypad... it's great!
