AGDI sharing their agreement.

#1 Post by Alias » Sun Oct 09, 2005 10:29 am

This has probably been talked about before but I wanted to ask if the AGDI's would approve a remake made by someone else? Kind of like KQ3VGA, if you guys would be the publisher so to speak, and then KQ3vga woulden't be at risk. Of course the AGDs would have to approve the game.

I think it's more on AGDI needing VU's approval first before taking on any new remake projects. I could be wrong though.

It's basically like Swift said it.

So AGDI have to ask Sierra approval for every new game they want to remake?

The intellectual property isn't ours to use as we see fit. We simply borrow it on a case-by-case basis.

My game is not a sequel or a remake. It is just a fan fiction game with many Sierra characters and some others known game characters. Do I still have to ask them in Vivendi Universal for a permsission so I can use the sprites and backgrounds and even I have already changed the names of the game characters? I would ask Vivendi Universal for permission but I don't know who am I going to ask. Could you AGDI maybe do it for me?'

I promise you then I will be much nicer to everybody including you Erpy and.... El_Listo, if you could that for me. :D

Sorry I am still clueless who I should suppose to try to speak to.

But I saw a interesting game there like 50 Cent-bulletproof trailers.

Fribbi, you're still infringing, but your project could probably get away as a parody... as long as it is in good taste. (Good taste... the thing that the QfG4.5 creator can't seem to comprehend.)

If you do contact them, make sure you mention 'parody' and that your game will be a family game. I'm sure they won't have a problem.

I don't have to do that. Since everything will be changed.

I'm not sure vivendi would even waste their time with doing anything about your game.

Don't you have simon the sorceror too?  Or is that another game?  O well.
