They're cheap... but not cheap enough that you can just blow off the money. I'm very interested to see what they actually are.

I'm very doubtful that any amount of real work has been done on the games. And even if any work has been done, it's likely a hack job. I wouldn't trust anyone to do that kind of work except for someone who is also a Sierra fan and member of the community, such as the patches that NewRisingSun made for example.

Ingram appears to be only a distributor:

Its going to be another week Im afraid. I will probaly get it around the week of Halloween. I might get it on Monday the 24th of this month.  I took one day shipping also.

lol, nice video  :p

I got stuck in SFII, couldn't solve the giant/titan puzzle. SFI had easier puzzles ;)

So you never finished it??! You should go back and replay it, I'm sure somewhere like GameFAQs could help if you get stuck.

I fear I didn't. After several weeks I gave up.... It was not easy. In some aspects, it's even more difficult than SFI, if that's possible.

The mere mentioning of its name makes me want to replay it  :p

Heh, I got stuck at the Taros shrine too in the past. That's because I thought I was supposed to go straight to Hassan town after getting the raft instead of exploring east Parmecia past the river. The game won't allow you to fight the Taros battle if you don't have the achilles sword (the only weapon that can damage him), because without it, it's not possible to win anyway.

But yeah, SF2 is harder than SF1. And the point in the game you mentioned is even before the enemies start doing insane amounts of damage.

Eh, so it is a nasty point in the game, that Taros Shrine  :p

I really didn't have the sword in my posession. Thanks of the tip. :)

Then it's even harder then it had been back then?  :p Now, that really makes me want to replay it lol

Eh, so it is a nasty point in the game, that Taros Shrine
The battle itself is pretty easy. The terrain's not obstructive and only the soulsower monsters are capable of giving you any trouble, because of their high attack and added paralysis effect) The problem is the boss. Only your leader can damage him, so it's basically a one on one duel. Like all bosses in the game, Taros gets two turns every round and in addition, he has fairly high attack and can use his weapon to cast a level 2 thunderbolt spell. (which has massive range and does good damage) Unless you kept your leader at the same level as the rest of the force and Sarah has heal level 3, this part is tough. The caravan you get is worth it though, because of its storehouse.
Then it's even harder then it had been back then?
Soon after the point you were at, you'll notice monsters start getting really high attack stats and need several of your soldiers' hits to go down. (think Kraken battle) The later battles in the sequel are A LOT harder than SF1's later battles and most of the bosses are pretty nasty too. Most of the battles you've won were "intermediate" level.

It's amazing you remember names in the game (Sarah, Taros, etc...) :) Thanks for all of your tips. I'm sure I've SFII on a cd somewhere, I just need to find it and start SFing.

And some of the levels were not so "intermediate" for me, btw  :p

Yea I cant remember hardly any of the names. Except the rat is called Slade lol.

I think whats really cool about re-playing (at least for me anyway) is that I can play it practically anywhere anytime on the go!!

The first Megadrive/Genesis RPG I fell in love with was Sword of Vermillion, it was the first RPG I'd played and I was amazed that you could just walk around a village and talk to people, it was exactly what I wanted to do in a game lol. Anyone else heard/played that?

I'll definetly have to re-play that too, its quite a hard game but I did finish it.

I once completed it with just two characters...the leader (whom I kept using until after the Taros battle) and Sarah, whom I worked up to level 40 in the first battle, kept around as a priest until I got the vigor ball after the Taros battle, promoted to master monk with said item and then worked up to level 99 in the secret battle in the elven village. The game was a lot easier to beat like that than playing it the normal way. But it takes a day or two to raise levels that much.

I hope they do get them out on the shelves, and don't just sell them over the internet. I think they'd have a lot more success if they were out where people could see them. I, for one, am somewhat of an impulse shopper at times.

*Looks at his 2GB USB Memory Stick he wasn't planning on buying*  :o

Well maybe were the lucky ones and they might ship us the shippment that came on october 11th. That is just an educated guess.

I emailed Amazon's Customer's service to ask them about it and I let you know what I found out.

If the delay is due to massive pre-orders or potentially adding new content, great.  If not, I think VU management has just made the tension between them and the adventure community over KQ9 even worse.
