A Black Cloud of Tragedy!

I can't stand this! Has  the Sierra kingdom been cursed or something!? First KQ9 goes out of production, then there is the downfall of Space Quest, and now Fanventures is dead? What next? This is all happening so fast!!! Care give some theory's?

My theory as I said before is that we are all CURSED!!! Not the most logical theory, but then again not all theory's are.

No I didn't. There was an error in the database which screwed the whole thing up. I didn't just decide to close it because I felt like it, it was closed because I had to close it as everything had gone and none of the backups worked.

I do believe that was the greatest sentence he's ever made.

Maybe you could try to lend your backup ( or ask ) to someone "trustworthy" who could help you to "extract" your backup in some "working" backup. Another thing, you could ask someone if they saved some of the database. Last ( worst ) idea, you could still update the site without the backup but I have a feeling it would be too difficult psychologically.

He was right in what he said though, Broomie had to close Fanventures due to circumstances beyond his control ie the database got messed up.

I've done that with 3 people and they all have the same thing. It's nothing to big though, if I had the time I could easily do the games database thing again plus I have a copy of alot of the interviews we did.

Not really, he said "behind his control" which seems like I was an evil man who closed it down because I felt like it.

Same thing, you closed Fanventures because of something that happened which was beyond your control.

Someone else saying that would say Broomie had to close Fanventures because of reasons beyond his control.

:hat  ;)

I don't really think people should be mocking AsianMusicGuy all the time for his grammar or spelling.

Haha. I agree with Swift. At least he knows more 'big words' (even if it's misspelled - which doesn't matter if you understood it) than a few of our frequent english posters. (Strangely... the same guys who complained about the spelling...)

I just can't resist to say:
I think AsianMusicGuy's mistakes were spelling mistakes and not grammatical. So, ironically enough, you had a mistake yourself, Ghost_Rider.

everytime I see it I crack up. I set it to my background and it dances!

My post about that being his best post was meant not just as a joke but also as a serious statement. It was his worst spelt post but his best statement. I only mess with AMG because I've talked to him over MSN for nearly a year now and on a regular (maybe biweekly) basis.

Oh I was just thinking, if you googled the last name of the twins instead of just twins or if you use variations of related words. Hope that helps you out.

well try and find the sites for the pictures you do have and see where that info comes from and try and trace it but with no names it'll be hard to find things.

If you're still talking about Twins, their names are Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung.  I have to admit that I haven't heard much of their music, but I did enjoy Charlene Choi's performance in San ging chaat goo si (Intl: Jackie Chan's New Police Story) as a young policewoman.  If you don't have access to the movie, the music video is available here.  Charlene Choi is the young lady that shows up at 0:00:40 and 0:01:56.
