Poem from your old icelandic friend

#1 Post by Fribbi » Fri Jan 13, 2006 12:46 pm

Hi all it's me (God) Fribbi my ban is over now.

Here is a small poem to AGDI team.

AGDI forums is still same
Still is here no new game,
what a shame
but I won't blame,
because it is so lame,
because they don't want fame.

What was that suppose to mean Gronagor?

You sounded like you are happy to get rid of me.

What he means is that "I'm leaving" is the mother of all broken promises. Because it generally is.

I'm not sure whether you only say goodbye forever just to recieve expected comments such as "No, don't go!" or "You're a good guy, please don't leave!"

Well, a couple of months ago we would have said something along the lines of that, yet these past few months you've kinda degraded yourself. Saying the forums suck, persuading AGDI to hurry up with QFG2VGA and not really giving them any encouragement, infact you're giving them some disencouragement. I think the other reason would be that you announce your goodbye so often, I don't think anybody can take you seriously when you've already broken your promise in less than an hour and a half.

You've really changed, Fribbi. I never remembered you like this at all, you made everyone laugh, posted great links and games and your dedication to Tierra/AGDI was great. Now, you're a completely different person. And not in a good way either.

Sorry to have to tell you all this, and I won't be surprised if your initial reaction is to give me a quick flame and REALLY announce your leaving yet whilst you're doing that, why don't you take a trip down memory lane? Last time I checked this is a forgiving community, if you think you could calm down and actually respect what AGDI is doing like you once did then maybe we'll get the old Fribbi back. If not, well, it was nice knowing 'ya, buddy.

Ok I think I need to answer that so I can finally leave with peace.

Times can change just like me. I know I was getting pretty angry and negative to all AGDI members. But I am not like that any longer. That will only remain in past now. I have grown up now from this behavior I am known for here.

Everybody can have a very bad days and I was not in a good mood when I was here last time. Well now you know I have both bad and good side.  I am really sorry about what happened here. I don't blame anyone. I was just having a bad day and that is way I was furious to anybody. I apoligize to everybody if I had said something stupid here.

I don't want to be the same old Fribbi here again. Get used to it my friends. :D

I think that it's all a matter of what you contribute. (I'm speaking generally)

Nice, but you should try to adopt a more complex rhyme scheme in the future. Have you ever considered writing a shakespearian sonnet? The rhyme scheme is ABABCDCDEFEFGG - nothing beats a nice heroic rhyming couplet at the end, don't you agree? You'd have to pay close attention to your scansion but I believe it would be well worth the effort.

Of course, if you don't like the form of the Shakespearian sonnet then you could always adopt the Petrarchan or Spencerian sonnet form instead.

I don't think we'll see that anytime soon from Fribbi. No offense it's just that English is his second language and unlike myself he doesn't use English as often as most people do in our culture.

Ah, ignore me. Can you tell that I spent the last two weeks heavily revising for a poetry exam? Now that the exam's over the knowledge just wants to leak out all over the place...
