Interesting...that desert screen isn't going to be in the final game though, right? Since there is no desert in Tamir...

I hope you do a good job if you keep it goin'!

Just a Test Screen

#3 Post by Sir Bob » Wed Jan 18, 2006 3:19 am

That was just a test screen, I am aware of there being no desert in Tamir. It was ripped off of KQ5.

Guys, I'm sure there's ways to welcome new people that don't involve the use of an unnecessary amount of sarcasm.

I like Rosella's dress, the shading is done well along with the sleeves, you have the right idea how to draw a character that is in 320X200, you cant have to many defined lines and you have to kinda do tricks with shading when you have it magnified so it looks right when you have it zoomed out at the regular game view keep up the good work.

We have had an artist do some sprites for us, and... I would like to share them with you guys. Note that this was done in MS Paint, and has not gone through the Photoshop process.

I think those sprites alone are excellent work (even though it's made in MS Paint)! As for the dialog portrait, it looks like all it needs is a blur tool or something once it's gone through PhotoShop. Well, that's what I would do anyway, and seeing as how I have no artistic talent at all I guess that's not very good advice lol.

i see a slight problem though, the silver thing on the arm is on the left arm in the front and back shots but on the right arm on the walk right shot

Hi,

Great pictures. I wondered why the picture of the fishersmans house on deviantart of rachykins looks so much better than the less detailed and a bit blurred picture on the KQ4 page?

Still, looks very promising.

Nice! I like the reflection effect on the water a lot in the frog screen pic...but....wasn't that supposed to be a small swamp? That's what I always thought, anyway.

I always thought it was a small pond with lily pads.

The art looks beautiful!  Keep up the good work, guys.  I hope the scripting is going just as well.
