I say interesting, because I wrote it myself and if I don't talk myself up, who will?
http://newheiser.googlepages.com/advent ... interfaces
This was written for a course in a grad program in computer science (the paper got an A), and I've been polishing it up recently and trying to make it readable to the outside world. I basically talk about the evolution of interfaces in adventure games, some of the choices made along the way, and some of my own recommendations.
Feedback or comments would definitely be appreciated.
An interesting paper on the Interfaces of Adventure Games
