QFG2VGA in other languages??

#1 Post by Zahmatra(n) » Mon Apr 02, 2007 3:47 pm

While responding another post, I remember that my first QFG game was QFG3 in Spanish.

I know that QFG2 was not even finished. But will be a chance of getting it also in Spanish?

I can speak and write english, but some of my old friends in Argentina don't. I still want to show them the game.

If there are no plans for translation, I offer myself for translating the game in Spanish.  :\

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that right now the game is not programmed to support translations. As it is, the possibility of us starting a QFG2VGA translation project is extremely small.

What wasn't finished, the game or a translation?
The game was, I don't think there were very many, if any translations
pre VGA sierra. There may have been a French version, but I dont have all the facts.
Even if it was translated, alot of my childhood friends didn't even like it in English, when it first came out.

QFG and all adventure games are for a more, how should I say, refined gaming palette, such as yourself. It doesn't matter what you speak, most people prefer a rush when they game, pressing buttons fast or shooting guns.

I learned how to type with these games. Maybe you could translate to your friends and help with their English language skills.
Learning a good story such as QFG2 could be a great way for them to start speaking a foreign language.
After all, these games made me a spelling bee champ back in fourth grade, and that was back in the early 90's.
