It's a fan project... .there are no deadlines or scheduled release dates,
AGDI have mentioned that several times on their web site.

Basically it will be finished when they're ready!

If you can't find any post relating to that then your certainly not trying hard enough!  :lol

But from some of the last few posts I'd been reading there was some indication, that Beta Testing was almost coming to a finish with only 50 items to address in the testing process.

So all i can say is keep checking  ;)

As Katta Master says, it's all down to bug hunting now.

I believe the current phase, in which bugs already known to the team from their own internal testing are eliminated, as technically called alpha. If I remember the plan correctly, beta testing, in which select people from the public will get to play the game and try to break it, will follow. Once the bugs they find are fixed and the beta testing period is declared over, I believe that will be the release date. :)

I think it's fair to assume that any release date even whispered about by AGDI would be plastered on the main page for all to see.

A fair question, though, even though it comes quite a bit.

Like others have said, there is none. Nor will there be. We wouldn't feel comfortable giving out a release date unless we finished the game, beta tested it and had it uploaded onto the mirrors.

It is really funny that nobody talks about the other two secret games AGDI has in their plan. When will that be ready? In same time when Quest for glory 2 will be realeased or will we have to wait few more years after that?

Why not have a guessing game here again so we fans could guess what the secret games is about with some part of the screenshots image just for fun?

BTW in last time AGDI had a guessing game when she was trying to make Space Quest 2 we never saw the full image of it. So is it ok we can see it now even it is not on the project now? That would be fair enough.
Or have you already displayed the full screenshot before. Well I have never see it so where is it then?  I hope you have not deleted that image hehe.

Keep your work up! :D

i never asked for a specific release date.
all i wanted to know if there is an estimated date that it will be out.

i dont like it when there is a deadline, games with a deadline many times are released crappy and buggy. maybe thats what happened to QFG 4.

The image was in the demo we released when announcing the game's cancellation. Not sure if it's around anymore.

That demo is here:

http://www.agdinteractive.com/downloads/sq2demo.zip

Although, it's not the most recent version. I had a newer version which had all the screens up to the shuttle bay added. I can't seem to find that source anywhere though.

No wonder since I am one of their elders member here in this forums  :lol .

I was not asking for the demogame only the whole image from the game, but thanks anyway.   ;)

Do you still keep the resource files from the games Royal Quest and Space Quest 2 AGD2? If the answer is yes, you are then saying to me you have not yet give up on that project.  :D But if the answer is no then I finally know it will never be released. :(

We're not gonna remake Space Quest 2...IA's already working on it and we don't have the time until our own schedule is somewhat more relaxed again.

As for Royal Quest, if the source is still existent, it's only there for novelty value, not because we're going to pick it up again someday. RQ is of the past. And er...what do you mean finally? We've been saying this for years.

AGDI's SQ2VGA was canceled a long time ago.

And that avatar is obnoxiously big.  Change it to a smaller one.
