The forums are getting.... boring

#1 Post by Ibanezrg82 » Sat Dec 22, 2007 9:55 am

I really appreciate what you guys are doing, but,

What is going on here?

How many years has it been now?

I have been coming here for a very long time, and the best your company puts out is an update? Last September?

Come on guys!

The least you could do is some screenshots or something!

Three years to the date when I even heard about this, nothing.

Be kind to the QFG fans!
I am waiting to play the series again so I can substitute QFG2EGA with your creation.

At least say someting on your page, show a few snapshots of some of the sprites.

You guys get too personal in these forums, I understand that is a big undertaking and such, but hell. People offer you money all the time to get this done.

I got kicked out of other sites because they were "offended" of the way I wrote.

You should see some other things those talk about.

Please make this right. QFG2 is my ALL TIME FAVORITE!

Peace guys, if it takes 100 bucks to get the project up to speed, I will gladly donate.

Do not respond with some snide wussy remark, I am not bashing, flaming, or making anyone feel they have to contact the "administrator" with anything.
I love my games and I anticipate the swift release of QFG2VGA, it is long overdue. If the bugs are a problem let me know, I know the game in and out. I will test everything for you guys!

If you are offended by my statement, you probably should not be using the internet. I was pretty clean on that one.

The last actual update was 10 december, dude. That was 12 days ago. Check out the thread the journal update linked to.

(and since the last year of progress has been all about scripting and nothing about art, how does posting a screenshot or sprite show any progress that you mention you'd like to learn about?)

Most people see your main page, and the update on that.

90% of them are people looking to download old Sierra games for free.

The 10% who are not looking to steal are looking for updates, and only 1% are actually in tune with what you freelance designers are actually doing.

I actually care and I got kicked out of a certain site for not "liking" a thread they had there.

It makes me wonder sometimes. Should I trust people like you with these great works of art?
How do you know that I am not Corey Cole?

The thread we kept stuff in was marked very clearly in the actual news update. If people only watch the site, but don't bother to read it, it's not our responsibility they miss out on updates.

Making updates in the forums is like 200% quicker.

Ibanezrg82, stop being a jackass, would you?

It's all been said 100 times before, and even if you were Corey Cole, we still couldn't tell you anything different. You want the latest updates, then check the updates thread. The concept's not that hard to grasp.

Forums mean jack sh#t.

No one writes anything about these.

This is a little pocket in the universe that only certain people care about.

And I am glad to be a part of it.

It is damn time that the people who want to see this genre unite, and stop being bitchy.

It is kind of like of a bunch of refugees from a broken country, we all have our own ideas, and ways to make it work.

The first step is for AGDI to frickin release some easter eggs!

For Christmas!

You ain't making any money off of this, so do not talk to one of your fans like that.

I am not being a jackass, or whatever you called me.

I am very passionate about the old Sierra games, and I want to let the style live.

You see, someone blames the flame war on me again.

I like my oldies!

Refer to previous posts in this thread.

I'm locking this one now. Please don't start a new thread about this either.
