Well luckily for you the Wii is available. We Europeans don't even have a release date for Super Smash Bros so we're waiting for this so badly. Sometimes I loathe Nintendo for pushing stuff back.

Hah. Ya right. I looked at two EB Games, HMV, Wal-Mart, Toys 'R Us, Best Buy, and Future Shop and everywhere is sold out of Wiis.

I don't want to get it at EB Games if I can avoid it. I hate that place.

me too, that's where I ended up going though. I buy as much as I can from Wal-Mart it's almost always cheaper even if it is only by a few cents.

Well I meant given the chance you can actually go out and buy a Wii if it's in stock. We have to wait for Smash Bros so we can't adore that awesome combination for at least another couple of months.

Don't worry, by the time I find one Brawl will have been released in the UK for months I'm sure. :\

I played Brawl for a little bit and the screen to me just seems a bit busy and chaotic. It's more fun to play with a GCN controller and overall I'm just not sure it's worth fifty bucks to me at this time.

I think the game's music content alone (never mind the rest of the game) is worth more the twice the amount it's currently going for (though I still wouldn't pay the extra $10 that EB Games charges), but that's me.

I wouldn't be too sure of that. The latest rumor seems to be that we won't see it until November (again, this is just a RUMOR).
I'd import the US version and a Freeloader, if not for the fact that the only reason Freeloader works at all is due to a bug in the firmware - a bug that Nintendo has fixed in the latest version (although the fix is not yet activated). Once it's activated, the Freeloader will be useless, and the only way you'll be booting Brawl is either with a modchip, or using the so-called Twilight Hack to execute a program that lets you boot a game regardless of region (such a program doesn't exist yet).

Well I've been doing some research and it looks like stores he order like hundreds of Wiis and only get delivered like 2 and they're gone in an hour. There is ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE TO GET A WII unless you're at the right place and the right time. I also hear that Europe gets all of them first and NA is third in line to get them sent out as it seems Nintendo thinks we're a low market or something. So I guess that evens things out what with Brawl not even available there yet.

Hoenstly hang out at shops when they open asking for one repeatedly. Eventually someone will tell you what day of the week they tend to get their Nintendo shipments in. From there its about two more weeks of jus tshowing up once a week.

Finally got my Wii! Amanda knows a guy at work who's sister is the Assistant Manager of a Toys 'R Us. He arranged for one to be held for us and I went down today and picked it up.
I'll let you guys know the Mii and friend codes or whatever once I get it online.

Steffi and MI must have an online Brawl for national supremacy. USA versus Canada for dominion of all things Nintendo (and a few things not)!

Oh well, at least I have Mario Kart Wii.
That game is a lot of fun. If anyone wants my MK number just ask.
Here is my Wii number though:

Maybe we should have a dedicated Friend-Code only thread. Other forums do it.

No, PSN is free to play.

Done, MI. (If anyone thinks I've missed them, let me know. I have 4 people registered from here.)
Broomster, I sent you a message about your MKWii Friend Code - check the Wii Message Board, if you've installed the Mario Kart Wii channel, it's mostly automated.

If I ever get a Wii, I'll let everyone here know, believe me. In the meantime, anyone with a DS and Phantom Hourglass or FF3 can contact me for those Friend Codes.
