An ode to AGDI

#1 Post by SirFuzzi » Thu Apr 17, 2008 6:00 am

Came a hero from the East; with cheats, he was quite the beast
"Razzle Dazzle Root Beer"- for the game was hard in that young year
"Where are all the graphics?"- said the boy amidst point-and-clicks
Quest for Glory one; text-based parser, yet still much fun
Then came the remake; point and click, not a parser for God's sake!
Into the land of Shapeir, our hero of Spielburg came here
From point-and-click interface, back to a text-based place.
"Oh well... just another quest of this texting... shell"

A discovery years late; perhaps- was this fate?
A group of genius minds; like the sun, shining through the blinds
The finest in all of taste- remaking our loved games to no waste!
And 'ere did gossipers walk; 'ere did many talk
Of the legendary, who remade many lands once scary
The Quests of Graham, it was no scam-
Remade in beauty and grace, point and click- without parser... such space!
And yet the finest of all, deserving of its own hall
Quest for Glory two, starring our hero named by you
Point-and-click, beauty on the eyes- try this one on for size.

So here I raise my glass, here I take no sass
For a group of men- and, too, women
This group known, its banner flown
As AGD Interactive.

This one's for you, heroes amongst men.

He who writes and he who scribes
Read this ode with pleasure
For there was nay a sutble bribe
To produce this laboured leisure

In short, I like it!

There once was a girl from Venus
Whose body was shaped like a ....

Old Star Trek joke there. Couldn't resist.

Well done! I like it.
