Cool Vil!!

Don't know if you knew but the voice of Simon in the first game Chris Barrie was a famous comedian in the UK during the 90s in TV shows like The Brittas Empire and Red Dwarf!

Discworld rocked. I loved the voice of Eric Idle as Rincewind. If I ever read the early books now I imagine his lines in that voice.

I thought Blue Force was okay, it was way short compared to the other PQ games.

I liked Still Life a lot, but I don't think it has much to do with PQ. The puzzles are more like Syberia, so is probably not everyone's cup of tea. The atmosphere is terrific, OTOH.

Iceman was not bad, but it lacked something, I don't know, it didn' feel very logical or integrated, somehow.

Definitely, Fate of Atlantis is one of THE games you have to play. And if you have a good MT32  by your side, the soundtrack is great. Last Crusade, OTOH, took me 5 days and 10 years to complete (just like LSL2) since I got to the very end and then I couldn't pass the first deadly trap. It was a matter of trying different spot for hours, so I felt frustrated and give it up for years.

On more recent titles, I kind of like The Hobbit and The fellowship of the ring. Although it has nothing to do with good old Sierra, I just love anything related to Tolkien.

Ah Tolkien. Why couldn't he have been alive in the 80s or 90s so he could write a good adventure game in the LOTR universe. I have yet to see a LOTR adventure game. I want to see it. Why hasn't anyone made one yet??

Probably because it lends itself to RPGs so easily.  You want it, you can start on it after KQ2SCI, how's that? :p

Ahh, I used to dream that Sierra would one day make an impressive LOTR adventure game. You could be any of the Fellowship, and your story would begin accordingly (Boromir would start in Gondor, Legolas in the Dark Wood and so on...)

While The fellowsip of the ring is no adventure game in the real sense, at least it captures some of the essence of the book. The atmosphere is nice, and it doesn't skip the Forest chapter (with Tom Bombadil) like virtually ALL adaptations of Tolkien in film and theatre.

Hey I would make it if I knew how to go about it. I'd like to do one someday, honestly. But that's what KQ2SCI is for. Training.

Also, Haradan, your sig is a universe-imploding contradiction.

You guys always leave out the Conquest series. Conquest of the Longbow absolutely rocks!! Been a long time since I've played Conquest of Camelot, but that game was fun as well, though it uses the old text parser in that game. I have the 1st Simon game on one of my hard drives. Same with Blackie, I had trouble with Codename: ICEMAN, I think I barely scratched the surface of that game no matter how times I played it.

Heh, actually I don't talk about the Conquests because I think we talk about them too much whenever the topic of games other than Quest games comes up.

first rule about Conquest, don't talk about conquest. Also might have something to do with the fact that I've never played them.

We do talk about Conquests of Camelot a lot.

I can't talk about it anymore because I can't stop saying "Widdershins" to my dog whenever I think about it.

DAMN IT.
