I just heard that some people are making remakes of the first four games of Quest for Glory calling it "ReQuest For Glory" .
They are using some 3D engine called Morrowind for recreating these games. They also say many additional things will also be added in these games alongwith the original stuff.
More Info:
So has AGDI got some competition..??? :p

I'm actually surprised that site's still around. The last update it had before that 2006 one was in, like, 2002 or 2001.

There is a sort of spoof sequel called "Quest for Glory 4 1/2: So You Thought You Were a Hero". It's freaking hilarious and a must-have. You can download it for free off of some website. The website's name is something with the word "underdog" in it, but I forget what exactly.
Speaking of spoofs, check out my two spoof videos of the King's Quest games:

4.5s website was shut down but it's most likely possible to get from other sources. I also was under the impression that QFG3d was not only dead but I also thought they were only remaking the first game. They remind me of the Chrono Trigger remake that got canceled.

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask or not, but I have no were else to ask, so...
I just downloading QFG4.5 from AGS.
I was playing it for a little bit and I try to see my stats and the game crashed?
Has this happened to anyone else?
Anyone know how to fix the problem?
Is there anything I need to know to get 4.5 to run smoothly?

The stats don't work in the game, but it's no big problem because unlike a real QFG game, the stats don't actually do anything.
Solution : Don't access the stats.

Strength and Hit Points do matter (They are automatically increased after you succesfully finish a battle instead of practicing them)

The stats will increase in the game, but the stats aren't actually hooked into the combat engine within the game. The only stat that matters are Hit Points, which will increase in-game and the only thing they are used for in the combat is to see how quickly you will die.

I don't think that's true. I remember that talking to Rajah in Wages of war with different levels of intellegence gave different results for the same responses. Weapon use, parry, etc. made your character fight better too. I don't really know if there was a "worthless" stat in the games.
The Coles were really big into paper role playing before/while they were making QfG. I don't know why they would make such a driving force of the role-playing experiance be just for looks.

Indeed the various stats all have a purpose in any of the Coles' QfG games. The problem is QfG4.5, the game Klytos is referring to, is not one of their games.
