On "Final" playthrough? That's indicative. Makes one think that release IS imminent.

Thing is though, we still have a number of "correspondence school" updates to go through.

Methinks they're going to take their time making sure the mirrors are set up right, and in enough numbers, and such.

can we get a bug update or something? Its been a while since we heard anything like that... Does being on the final run through mean that he plans on playing the full game one more time just to make sure there aren't any wierd bugs, but its basically ready to be released? So you guys got clearance to put it out right? you probably finished the final play through right? now you're just getting server space setup and all the PR crap done right? how much more of that? could one of you guys just give us a quick summary of whats going on right now? sorry, i'm not trying to bother you guys, it just seems like we're so close, i keep refreshing the page and thinking its gonna be any second now....

Well, the PR is working if it gets you this excited... so I wouldn't call it crap. :)

They did say the teasers and web-page is seperate from the game-development, so it isn't influencing the release.

Bug updates would merely be empty posts. AGD2 and I finished our playthroughs, AGD2 reported all issues he could find and I fixed up all issues I could fix. I'm no longer touching the code anymore.

So are you just working on making sure the downloading mirrors will be working without a hitch? Or are we just waiting for school to get out? :lol

Maybe they're just keeping it longer to toy with your emotions ;)

I am really very impressed with and proud of everyone involved with this project. It must feel so great to have worked so long and hard on this game now that it is almost out. And while the forums are burning up with activity, and everyone is anxiously awaiting the release, I really hope that you understand how appreciated you are. I'd give anything to be a part of something like this.

thanks.... could you let us know what else is happening? It seems like securing service space would only take a day, designing the download page and new site, maybe takes 2 - 3 days... what else is needs to be done? I'm not trying to be impatient, and I really hope you guys know how much you are appreciated...

Since we as fans really don't know what is planned for the finished website, I don't think it's safe to assume the site can be finished in 2-3 days.

I didn't mean the whole website, I just meant one with a download page, and an about AGD and QFG2VGA page... but you're right, even that can be very in depth, I was just hoping they were going for a simple one to start out with... just to get the game out there, but I bet at this point, they are aiming for a high level of quality for everything to do with the release, cuz since we waited so long, we might as well wait longer for a perfect release...

Yeah, getting it to the mirrors would probably only take a day. It's the process of getting the new site finished that's currently a major factor in determining when the game can be released.

so did you decide to include the debug codes? I think there should be a hidden blue frog near the oasis or something, that enables it...

Well QFG II SCI had those debug codes like in QFG I SCI, so I don't see why they shoulden't incluide it if they want to re-produce everything in the game as the original had. But its not our call of course. :)

You folks just had to do it, didn't you? :D Seriously, I just came right up to the AGDinteractive main page and guess what? The whole music and amazing drawings suddenly appear and I'm about to go nuts... is it finally out? After all these 7 years of waiting?! And guess what happened? I burst right into laughter the instant I saw the 'coming soon' line... I knew it was coming, something in my head told me that and I was prepping myself up to laugh and I did.

But seriously, that was a great one, I loved it! You just had to do it. :p :rollin :rollin :lol :lol

Till next time stay cool 8))

The game is "coming soon" what more can we say.

Is it coming sooner than you think? Maybe... maybe not... :evil

Hello. Looks like things are progressing pretty nicely. Sorry I haven't been around at all to do more testing, but I'm now hitchhiking the country and don't have much time for the internets these days.. best of luck to you guys. The game is truly amazing and I know fans will love it.

Well, keep in mind that QFG1VGA didn't include any actual Razzle Dazzle Root Beer either, so it would actually make more sense not to include it that to include it...

Just a quick question, will the the walkthroughs for QFG2 EGA (which will be the only one found on the net until much later) be needed to be updated for the VGA version. As far as Quest for Glory series is concerned I have always followed the amazing walkthroughs by CyricZ whenever needed. Anybody else here thinks highly of the guy's work. Maybe AGDI should send him an email with the required details to update his QFG2 walkthroughs before release.

Walk-through? What is that? Real heroes need only brains and steel.

I'm sure some random dude on the intarweb will run through the game and post up an updated walkthrough.
