I loaded up the site today, hoping that the AGDs were telepathic and decided to use my birthday (the most auspicious day of the year) as release day. Alas and alack, twas not to be. Thoroughly enjoying the theme change on the main page, and looking forward to getting lost in Shapeir once more.

I love the site revamp, The front page looks cooler and cooler as more is 'burned' away.
Just thought I'd mention that.

I occasionally play Neverwinter Nights with my wife, which reminds me of playing KQ6 with my dad as a kid. I kinda found out how much *he* liked it, when I loaded up KQ2VGA for him and asked to play for old times sake, he kinda brushed me off. Ouch.

Anyway...the wife tends to cheat her way through things like NWN, while I play for fun, since I'll get the answer sooner or later. The only time I resorted to a walkthrough was to find a solution that ended up obfuscating the story. You have to 'use' a scenery object, with no indication that you can do that (writing in the book, trying to find the Wise Wind in Shadows of Undrentide) Anyway, it helps her to abstain from cheating when I play along with her. :)

Forgive the question if this has already been addressed, but I nosed through this thread and have not seen it addressed. Is there an approximate release? I have been watching the progression of this for years, and am one of the 'ol fanboys that grew up with these games (now 29). Life has gotten quite busy, but I will be making time for this one. Again, I know the faithful developers have been "bugged" for the release date ever since the beginning (Ha ha, little graveyard - I mean, programming - humor there), so if it is still up in the air it is completely understandable.

Thank you for all you do!

B.

Clear as mud. This is getting a bit embarassing for me. I assume that since night is falling that the day will be dawning soon, but I think like Peter Pan perhaps I've been out of Never-Never-Land too long...

Interestingly, now I play quest for glory on a Mac Book Pro running DOSBox.

Apparently the current theory floating around is that that game will be released at the same time as the solar eclipse occurs.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Vivendi will even allow them to do so.

Yeah, I guess they're not as gung-ho about stomping flat the dreams of fan creations like say, Square-Enix.

Plus, it must help that the game has received the blessings from the Coles.

The solar eclipse seems like a perfect release time to me... that is if they are trying to make the realease like the game is

Indeed it is a shame!

Anyhow, Eriq, the site looks fantastic! Keep up the amazing work and know that we're all here to cheer you on!

The same goes for the entire AGDI team, Erpy, Anonymous Game Designers, Himalaya... anyone who was involved.

I'll bake some cookies for you all!

The new site looks great! I'm excited to see all new QfG content after all this time!

So...who's up for creating Quest for Glory 6?

Just kidding...

We still intend to announce that officially, but yes, that's the idea.

Yeh the new main page is beautiful. You guys make beautiful artwork, such a waste if the game is not ported into 640x480 resolution :)
