Yeah, but I misunderstood his post, thinking he is replying to your post.
That's what happen if you browse via your phone.
Ok. Sorry. I'll rephrase: "That's what happen if I browse via my phone!"

Heh. No, it is all me!
Hey. How about Operation Iceman!
Still can't believe Navynuke never played that game.

I remember Blackthorne and I once brainstormed in an e-mail session about putting the Chronicles of Prydain books into games. We figured the characters were still copyrighted to Lloyd Alexander anyway, and it would be much more invisible to Disney to not remake their Black Cauldron movie / game, but the original books by Alexander.
It's still a great idea.

That is hard to believe. I haven't gotten very far in that game I might have to blow the dust off of it and give it another go....Gronagor wrote:Heh. No, it is all me!

That, and the Xanth series. Great series of books.

Re: Future AGDI Projects
Yeah, Spikey mapped out a lot of stuff for that - basing them directly on the books, and not the films. So we'd get Characters like Coll, Gwydion and Achren etc. They'd make a great adventure game, for sure.Spikey wrote:I remember Blackthorne and I once brainstormed in an e-mail session about putting the Chronicles of Prydain books into games. I'll see if I can find the old concept sketches of a few of the characters I made, scan them, and post m here. Should be fun.

Yeah! "The Book Of Three" would have been a great game. If I only had more time and talent!

Re: Future AGDI Projects
lol besides seeing Quest for Glory 1, 3, 4, and 5 with the audio working on Windows XP and cleaned up of all the glitchs and bugs in the games since it's hard to find patchs and the patchs don't fix everything, like on QG5 when the game crashs just as your about to take a shot at the dragon. I'd like to see XP and Vista remakes of some of the other old DOS/early Windows games of the time like Dungeon Master 1 and 2. and Stonekeep. You see a lot of fantasy adventure/rpg games for consol systems but that genre is pretty much dead on the pc. I suppose there are fun ones out there but not as good as the old DOS/early Windows classics.

NO. VDMSound is deprecated and actually slows down MIDI music. I don't think it's even updated anymore. Everyone I've known whose used it eventually migrated to DOSBox. DOSBox is the way to go. VDMSound won't work with Windows games anyway. However, Win 3.1 does work in DOSBox now. I posted a thread about it with screenshots a few weeks ago.kosch wrote:for xp try vdmsound
