Congrats MI.
I'm having some problems with the audio of Goblin Quest 3 CD. I don't hear any music at all. The voices are okay though. The regular version DOES have music on my DS. Haven't really looked into it yet, but did anyone have similar problems?

I must say you were right MI, while FAT32 does indeed work, I was playing Pajama Sam with Katherine on ScummVM Wii yesterday and it was badly lagging when animations or cutscenes played out, so I formatted to FAT16 and its smooth as a freshly picked peach!

Spikey: I haven't tried GQ3 CD to any great extent yet. I will, though, and let you know.
Angelus: Great that it's working for you.

Sweet!! It's so cool how yours is full screen! On my 42" LCD TV the sides are cut of so it's 4:3, still looks pretty cool though. Hopefully a future release will support 480p.MusicallyInspired wrote:I fixed all my ScummVM issues. Here's a video of it in action I made!

Not sure if it plays any different then your PC copy on Wii via ScummVM...
The games might look stretched out like they do on PSP if they do...Angelus3K wrote:Sweet!! It's so cool how yours is full screen! On my 42" LCD TV the sides are cut of so it's 4:3, still looks pretty cool though. Hopefully a future release will support 480p.

Yeah, that wouldn't be good. Stretched video is the devil.

yo angelus you can change the aspect ratio on your tv to make it full screen. It might stretch out the picture more than you'd like though.

that's really cool, do you know if xbox 360 runs any emulators or scummvm?MusicallyInspired wrote:I fixed all my ScummVM issues. Here's a video of it in action I made!

You can get ScummVM for basically anything nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an XBox port but I have no idea. Google is your friend.

What are the chances of AGS ever being emulated? =S
Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
Or ported to other systems? I thought I heard that AGS does have a Mac version but it's outdated...Spikey wrote:What are the chances of AGS ever being emulated? =S
There seems to be a X-Box port out there, but it's currently not officially supported by the ScummVM team. Not sure if you can play X-Box 1 homebrew on X-Box 360 though...oughtobe wrote:that's really cool, do you know if xbox 360 runs any emulators or scummvm?

Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
There's also a Linux port of AGS but it's also outdate, I think. I seem to recall the one working on it said it was quite a tough job.
Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
They are also releasing two others for the Wii:
Freddi Fish - Kelp Seed Mystery
Spy Fox in Dry Cereal
And can't forget Sam & Max Season One for the Wii.
Would be nice if AGS was ported to some of the game systems like PSP or Nintendo DS so we can play some Sierra remakes on the go.

Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
The problem with porting AGS is that Chris Jones doesn't want to release the source for people to recompile as with the source released it may be possible for existing AGS games to be hacked etc.
Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
So you think AGS would have to be reversed engineered like ScummVM did to SCUMM to port to game systems? Or you think Chris Jones feels up to the task to make a AGS compiler for PSP and DS? What would you guys think if someone made a game system port of KQ1VGA, KQ2VGA+, and QFG2VGA?

Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
I'd love to play AGDIs games on other platforms, especially Wii but I doubt Chris Jones would have the time to compile other versions let alone maintain them and I don't think reverse engineering his engine would be a very nice thing to do.
EDIT: Sugar Puffs!! I never noticed this thread in itself was over 4 years old lol! The first line of the first post still cracks me up!

I remember this thread being called PS2 OWNZ! which was a sure signal this thread was going to be slightly biased.
Anyone played Soul Calibur IV? I like it, not great but it's great fun kicking people's arses online... even if it ends up my arse being the one that is kicked. Even if they win I still think they're losers for being so good at a game.

I'm still waiting for the crash fixes in Full Throttle. Right now it crashes at the second part of the introduction and the cutscene that plays after you get all the parts for you bike at that town. So I can't play further. But it's definitely nice that the screen shaking feature is now supported.

We used to use EZ Board for our forums many years ago, phpBB can't read the EZ code in the posts thats all. You'll just have to scan through the txt and find readable lines I'm afraid.
