Continuity Errors in Trial by Fire *spoilers*
I recently replayed through QFG2 in anticipation, and while I was playing I noticed some continuity errors. Now yes, I know they exist everywhere and are unavoidable, but one can't deny they are fun to talk about...
When meeting with Aziza on day 16 and discovering that the emir was transformed into the saurus by Ad Avis, Aziza says she'll keep him with her until the hero can find a way to turn him back "Uh...Aziza...I still have two potions left over from dispelling the beast..it'll just take me two seconds to...oh, ok then I guess I'll just take care of it when I get back"
Also your saurus is still in the stable when he should be with Aziza....
And this isn't a continuity error really but wouldn't it have been cool if you got one of those red saurus' to take to Raseir instead of one that looks identical to emir-saurus?
Hope this post didn't make me a pain in the saurus! har har har

Yeah, I wouldn't call those continuity errors so much as things that are sort of silly or odd, but that's just me being anal retentive. It WOULD have been cool to have a "real" saurus on the way to/in Raseir, though.

Those aren't really continuity errors, those are more programming oversights.
Continuity errors would be like... hmm... well... didn't Shadows of Darkness completely ignore the events in Fricana?

Well they kind of are, aren't they? Don't they call them continuity errors in movies if like a character is holding a gun in his right hand, but in the next shot it's in left? It's the same sort of thing...

Not really, I mean the game picks up after the hero gets teleported away...and you can talk about your adventures in Tarna and other lands to various people...it's just that there's no one from Fricana in Mordavia to link it to QFG3....hmmm...I wonder if the original design would have had Rakeesh and the hero going to Mordavia when Shadows was QFG3....

It's my theory that everything that happened in Shadows of Darkness happened regardless of the number in the title, and the reason we got Wages of War was because the dev team couldn't think of a plausible way to explain how the Prince got from Shapier to Mordavia in a single cutscene.
That's also why there are only a few spells in Wages of War compared to the other games, and the Paladin skills you get are the same ones in both games.

That's one of the many questions I'd love to ask the Coles if I ever get a chance...what was the original plan for getting the hero to Mordavia from Shapeir...if they even had one at the time...they must have at least had a plot worked out if they were "positive" it was to be the next game....I wonder at what stage they decided that the hero wasn't "mature" enough and added in Wages....

I always thought this was because you have a dispel potion, but no hair. Sauruses don't exactly have hair, after all. This is why Aziza makes up a special dispel potion at the end, I believe. Still, it has been a while since I played.

Well it did mention QFG3 at least once in QFG4, Magda is extremely surprised when you tell her you fought a demon.
