No HINT/SPOILER tags. Oh well. Answer:
Never too early for cheating!!!
Seriously, I'm not interested in cheating. Really. For real.
My character from QFG1 however, which I replayed ages ago anticipating the release of this remake (lol, fo rizzle I did) which had AWESOME mag stats with thief-like capabilities was LOST when a KILLER HARD DRIVE CRASHED DESTROYED YEARS WORTH OF WORK ON VARIOUS PROJECTS.
Ok, not really all of the projects. Just the most recent work and the stuff that let me keep track of it all so I could coherently manage them. So, as I said, YEARS OF WORK ON VARIOUS PROJECTS.
Which is why I implore the casual and humble reader to BACK UP THEIR DATA.
Nevertheless, to return to my point, yes, it is absolutely, completely, and truly necessary to cheat sometimes.
This is one of those times.
I could really use with a wizard character with universally high abilities, or, if you please, some high climbing, and uh, dexterity stats or something like that.
Anyone know of a site with such a character for download? Can someone pitch me such a character?
It would be much appreciated.
Thank you. That is all.
You may resume cheat discussion with impunity now. And enjoy the fine remake.
Too early to start cheating?

70 views but not an offer of help.
I'm shocked. But I started playing anyway. I couldn't wait.
I love this game!

Why don't you grab the original Hero's Quest and beat it? Takes about 30 minutes if you already know what to do. And you could razzle dazzle root beer your character to whatever you wish!

Hi there, too bad about the lost character, you could try this:
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Game ... r__95.html
Creates characters for import, but it's not that adjustable...
I would go back to QFG1 and Razzle Dazzle Root Beer everything you wanted.

I appreciate your sympathy for my loss.HiddenGoseke wrote:Hi there, too bad about the lost character, you could try this:

I don't know anything about Razzle Dazzle Root Beer. I prefer A&W myself.
That link didn't work. But I'm very thrifty. This one does:
ftp://ftp.volftp.tiscali.it/pub/pc/wind ... 95lite.zip
Now I'm even more thifty than that. Magic User dosen't give much of a boost when you import and choose the class of Magic User with the tool.
I would be limited even more than starting fresh to give myself thief skills due to imported characters be given less additional points at start.
So.
I created a thief with the tool, imported and chose the class of Magic User.
Bing. Instant 100's stats for all but Parry, and what, what is this? Points left over to add a skill?
I think so.
So yah, I'm good now. My character is super hybrid though, and I have got to wonder what his inventory looks like now.
Anyway, thanks for the help!
And let's get cheating people! No way to debug like to cheat, oh yah!!!!
