New Easter Eggs
Just getting around to exploring QFG2 for the first time, and keeping an eye out for anything strange. Found something that didn't appear on any of the easter egg lists floating around on the interwebs. Rather than just point it out, I thought I would make a list so that any more that are found can be added to the list.
1) In Shapier on the far north side of town, just east of the middle crossroads there is a merchant who you can't actually buy anything from. This merchants name is Neko. He offers discounted Kung Fu Dresses, Duck Helms, and Tiger Suits.
In Secret of Mana for the SNES there is also a merchant named Neko, and all of these items are found in that game as well.

Re: New Easter Eggs
Thanks for noticing that one. Yep, it's a Secret of Mana easter egg. In that game, Neko was a purple cat, which is why QFG2-Neko's text-box was made purple too. The line about the armor was a little way to poke fun at some of the ridiculous armor they sell in SoM.

Re: New Easter Eggs
A Mana reference. Nice touch, Erpy. Was that your doing or someone else's?
Re: New Easter Eggs
AGD2 asked me to include a Neko when we decided to go for katta merchants to inhabit the initially empty stalls. I wrote the lines about the armor.

I found the Prince of Persia jumping around the alleyways
Re: New Easter Eggs
I spotted King Graham lying dead in the desert instead of King Arthur like the EGA version had, with the white hair he had in KQ5. A nice nod to another tricky desert to navigate.

Re: New Easter Eggs
I thought I saw the mirage because I was low on water and was expecting a text box to come up saying something like "you're in dangerous need of some 'nectar of the gods'"
Re: New Easter Eggs
I'd often spot King Arthur in the EGA version even with full water skins. He'd be laid out like he would be in Conquests of Camelot as if you'd spent too much time in the desert.
