Day 7. Beaten the fire elemental, did the two thief sidequest, bought a lot of stuff, and practiced throwing by killing brigands with daggers (Much less boring than simply throwing rocks)

Beat it as a thief. Started as a mage.

I can't believe people are playing through it so fast. How the heck is one supposed to notice all the finer details if they're flying through while nearly breaking the sound barrier?

Agreed Erpy, I'm takin it nice and slow, just about to fight the air elemental after about 4 hours. I must say I totally love the new Adventure Guild music, half african half QFG theme music :D

Seriously. Every time I playtested the game, it took me at least three full days to finish the whole thing by being thorough. Trust me, you guys are missing a LOT by rushing through it based only on your knowledge of the original version!

Beat it with the mage after say about 7 hours of play. Only 483 out of the possible 500 though, no idea what I missed... lets hope I have better luck with the fighter

Started a new Thief and I'm now on Day 4. Right now I'm randomly walking around the alleyways to work the stealth skill up. There are a bunch of different merchants around. I especially like how the wallet vendor promises his wares will make my money feel less heavy.

Thats true, I did a speed run though, just to check out the main differences... Now I'm going over it with a fine toothed comb... I spent over 2 hours on day one alone so, trust me, part of the fun is trying every silly thing I can think of, just to see the responses and find bugs...

I'm wondering if I can be the first person to beat the game that hasn't played the EGA version. I'm on Day 4 right now, the fire elemental has appeared but I have no idea how to advance the plot in this game, it's not as linear as the other ones its time oriented.

I am on day six or seven or some such. I've been trying to build up my strength (VERY boring, roaming from one end of the desert to another looking for fights) because I know I need to beat Issur at arm wrestling and right now I can't do it. This sort of thing is the reason I'd always cheat before.

And I've been playing all day, by the way

On Day4, the fire elemental is sighted, but doesn't actually appear yet. You won't have a lot of trouble finding him on day 5.

And Eric, you could also try training with Uhura to gain strength or throw rocks.
