Where's Rocky? And eyes?
I have so much fun with the remake.. it's really great to play through QG2 again.
Just a note.. I vaguely remember the Earth Elemental's nickname 'Rocky'. Has this been taken out?
Lastly, the Air elemental's eyes? I can't put out the animation of his suprised eyes as he gets sucked into the bellows. Was there a reason it was taken out?
This is truly a great attempt! Kudos!

"Rocky" was the name that appeared above the earth elemental's life bar when you fought it in the original game, but QFG2VGA only uses one health GUI for the health bar of a single opponent in battle.
As for the air elemental's eyes...no idea. Chris just animated it the way it is now.

Re: Where's Rocky? And eyes?
The name "Rocky" does get used in the remake, but it's sort of a semi-hidden "extra".
Re: Where's Rocky? And eyes?
I am curious... when is tihis 'semo-extra' mentioned?

Look at the remnants of the Earth Elemental on the ground just after you have defeated it.
Also, the statue at the end is referred to as "Rocky" as well.
As for the eyes, they seemed a bit too comical. The elementals are supposed to be elements shaped into the semblance of a human form which I guess was fine for the EGA versions graphics. But with the new upgraded sprites, I just thought it was better keeping the elementals more realistic-looking for these 'serious' scenes.

But also, try telling Keapon about the earth elemental after you've defeated it.

Yeah, it does. But I always liked the eyes on the elemental. Not all of them had to be serious - but hey, sometimes you gotta make design choices and in the end it doesn't affect the game. Just a tiny bit cosmetically.

Yeah when the air elemental's eyes bulged out when he is being sucked into the bellows.
That is funny...haha
But I respect your design choice

I do think that the eyeless Air Elemental is in keeping with the more realistic animation styles of QFG1VGA, QFG3 and QFG4. HQ1 and QFG2 EGA both had much more cartoony animations than their 256-color brethren.

Yeah, that waffle walker and the rabid bunny were the most realistic walking waffles and vampiric bunnies I've seen in a video game.

Only thing that wold have made the bunnies more realistic would have been dispatching them with a Holy Hand Grenade.Blackthorne519 wrote:Yeah, that waffle walker and the rabid bunny were the most realistic walking waffles and vampiric bunnies I've seen in a video game.
