Happy New Year

#1 Post by seraphimdreamer777 » Thu Jan 01, 2009 4:20 am

Well it's been five years since I last went in the loony bin and now I've gone again and I made it out in time to wish y'all a Happy New Year especially those here that have been good online friends to me may we have many more years of fun topics.

Happy new year everyone.

You know, I've been thinking and I believe this year holds some major significance. This year, it's exactly a decade ago that Yosemite shut down and the Quest series were officially discontinued. This year, it's exactly a decade ago that the Sierra fangame community started up. 10 years of fan projects. AGDI has stated to tie up their loose ends this year and mentioned no more fangames are planned. The TSL-team stated they intend to release their game this year, but also mentioned no further chapters are planned for production right now. IA may release their SQ2-remake this year. I wonder if things, after 10 years, are moving towards a finale of some sorts.

This is the year of hopefully things changing for the good. I hope you all had as fun of a new year as I did. Cheers to sleeping til noon and massive hangovers. :)

I'm just hoping 2009 will be more like 1989!

Happy New Year! Yes, here's to hoping things will improve where we are, and for the rest of the world as well.

It's amazing that a whole decade of fangame development has taken place. Perhaps a new phase will take place, such as an increase in fangame developers moving into the professional realm. There is so much talent in the community that it's certainly possible. :)

-Finish music that should have been finished years ago
-Work harder on (or finish) King's Quest II SCI project. I've been abandoning it lately.

Happy New Year!!! Ouch. Had to finish three card games before the year was over, What a tour de Force.

My resolution for New Year is to finish painting my Quest for Glory 2 Wallpaper now that I have a working monitor, and maybe buying Al Emmo now that I have a working credit card, too. In Spain, christmas gifts are given on Jan, 6th, which is also the King's Birthday. :lol

We had a snow storm so my New years party got cancelled. However a few stranded friends did come over and we had a snowed in Gaming night which was pretty fun too.

My New Years resolutions are to have a bit more fun with my money, draw more and find a new employer.

Here's wishing everyone's hopes for the new year come true.

My new year's resolution is 1680x1050... *dodges gunfire*

Well, I think I've almost carried out my main new year's resolution which is not to smoke and so far I haven't had one cigarette, neither a craving too. This will be the 3rd time I've given up I believe so hopefully third time's the charm!

You mean 1600x1200. I have the same resolution. My brother is running on a sweet 1680x1050 with a 22" widescreen monitor. Soon as I get a good DV-I to HDMI converter I hope to test some sweet resolutions with my 32" widescreen TV.

I have an old NES even though I have a FC Twin too and I want to get a Sega Master System. But I'm glad to see everyone here is having a good year so far. At least it cheers me up some to see others happy. :)
