Sound issue

#1 Post by greensenshi » Mon Jan 26, 2009 7:26 am

Right now my computer isn't recognizing any audio drivers. When I go to play QFG2VGA, it says I need a digital music pack file installed before I can run it. Any way to get around this or am I being obtuse and you did release a music pack?

Either the music.vox file is not in your directory or you've entered the setup and disabled its use. You'll need to use it in order to start the game.

Alright, I checked. Music.vox is in the folder, and I enabled sound to be used, but it still gives me the same error message.

Are you sure the box "use digital music pack if available" is checked in the setup and you've saved the changes? That message about music.vox missing shouldn't be caused by anything else.

Yea, I'm sure. In fact, I can't uncheck it as it's grayed out.

I'm having the same problem with the boxes being grayed out and having the sound error. Was this resolved?

Well my issue was that my computer wasn't recognizing my sound drivers at all. Once I got that fixed, the game runs fine. Yours looks like it can't support Midi.

:o

Once I put the Sound Blaster card in (laptop), it worked just fine. Sheesh - I feel like an idiot now. Thank you, though!
