I was playing the original version of QFG2 again the other night (I was bored and hadn't gotten a sound card for my new computer yet, so I wasn't able to play the new one without sound). I tried saying that Harik was the person who sent me (haven't used his name before), yet she wouldn't let me in to her house. But I asked Harik about potions, then about the dispel potion, fruit of compassion, and Aziza. So he did tell me about her.

Harik being a valid sponsor is something that was added to the remake. So you're correct; the EGA version won't accept that particular answer.
