King's Quest II Credits
When starting up the new version of King's Quest II, I noticed that Roberta Williams is credited with writing King's Quest II. However, according to the manual for the original game, Roberta is only credited with Designing the game. The story is credited to Annette Childs.
Just wondering if anyone has pointed this out before.

Would you mind scanning that page and posting it?
Re: King's Quest II Credits
I'm wondering if she was someone who worked at the company in another capacity, since I'm haven't seen her name on any other games.

Could it be that the Story Credit is for the expanded story within the manual only?
The story 'told' within the game itself is pretty thin...

Re: King's Quest II Credits
I just noticed when I saw the credits it said King's Quest II: Romancing The Throne written by Roberta Williams. For some reason, I had remembered that KQ2 was the only one of the early ones that Roberta had help in writing. Until KQ6 which was co-written/designed by Jane Jensen.goatmeal wrote:Could it be that the Story Credit is for the expanded story within the manual only?

I can't find a copy of the original KQ2 to check out if the game itself credited her with the story. KQ3 manual says written and designed by Roberta Williams, Although at the bottom of the Credits Annette Childs is again credited with story, so your theory is quite probable. KQ1 manual which is similar to both of them, only lists Roberta on it.

Well, this is interesting! A Mystery to be solved.
Sounds like the basis for a new adventure game. Heh heh. Solve the mystery of "Annette Childs"
