Miss you!
Well the usual weird pattern where i suddenly get a flash back to the quest for glory days has just happened yet again and I'll be playing them right through, including your fantastic remake very soon.
I realised i've not been on this forum in a while, and from the looks of things I'm not the only one. It seems a massive shame that once you release the game, thats when the community disperses.
Anyway I'm posting here to say thank you, thank you to all the lovely people I have met here for being who you are; for being so friendly and for helping to bring back some truly precious memories from my early youth. Thank you to AGDI, who as well as being those people, have also created a truly game, a game which (unlike modern ones i buy today) i will play for the rest of my days.
Thank you to Eriq Chang, Lady Pyro, Dr Jones and many many more, for encouraging my very amateur photoshop colourings and furthermore being part of the reason I now paint and recently got an A for art at school!
I will genuinely hold this game, this community and these forums in fond memory for the rest of my days.
Well, unless i get alzheimers in later life which isn't actually that unlikely because everyone in my family has got it when they reached a certain age!
Dave x

If you're as young as you sound, kid, you won't have to worry about Alzheimer's. Of the neurological disorders, it's the one we seem to be closest to actually curing (or drastically slowing down as opposed to treating symptoms).
I feel the way you do about the people in the old Sierra boards from back 2 or so years before Dragonfire came out. Haven't kept in touch with any of them, though!

Good luck with all future endeavors!

We will always be here when you need us. (I feel like the characters at the end of Labyrinth... LOL.)
But hey... wait.. what am I saying? There's still more magic to come!!
Keep those brush tips up!

Re: Miss you!
Cheers guys, im definitely gonna pop in on these forums more again. And if you ever feel like doing more qfg2 sketches let me know Lady Pyro!
These days im doing less art tbh, actually if you're interested i've been writing music and doing gigs for a while now, just about to start university where i'll be studying electronic music production!
You guys can hear my music if you would like at http://www.myspace.com/onedollardave
Its definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but thats what i'm doing with my life these days!
I sound like a kid? I suppose that depends on your definition of 'kid.' I am 18 years old, i think most nations would see me as an adult at my age, furthermore, I wouldn't have thought you, of all people would be in much of a position to suggest immaturity on these forums.

I don't think he meant "kid" in a derogatory sense, man. I really think he was just saying it seems like you're a young adult (like most of us) and that you've got plenty of years in front of you. I think, honestly, he called you kid as shorthand for your handle "Solarkid". I'm pretty sure he just meant you didn't come across as an older, middle aged gamer and that worry about Alzheimers is YEARS away.

Yeah fair enough, i fired off a bit and came across as more annoyed than i was.
"as young as you sound, kid." is reasonably tainted with patronisation in my opinion, but i suppose i wasn't that clear about the alzheimers thing being a joke anyway.

Like most of us? You're so old you bade Moses farewell when he crossed the red sea. Yep, biblical reference. I'm THAT awesome!Blackthorne519 wrote:I don't think he meant "kid" in a derogatory sense, man.
