Thanks guys. Yeah, my two sisters have been tossing jabs about the age-thing the whole evening.
My birthday today happened to collide with Father's Day, so I invited a handful of people to my place in the afternoon and around 6, my dad, sisters and partners and I spent the evening having dinner at the local pancake restaurant. (tidbit...pancakes over here are nothing like american pancakes...I'd like to think they taste a hundred times better)

Re: Happy Birthday Erpy!
oh goodness Stijn cooked Brit and I the most amazing pancakes one day. I felt very Dutch eating authentic Dutch boy crepes.
edit: ok, this is kind of gross looking but I couldn't find a better picture of pancakes with candles on them. LOL Happy Birthday!

Why does this look like there's a small animal trapped in there, with only eyes, paws and right ear visible on the surfaceeriqchang wrote:

Eriq, do you want to make us nauseous or something? :P

LOL! I tried!
That is about the extent of my baking skills unfortunately. Now DECORATING a cake.. that Martha Chang can do. But baking... I'm somewhat of a neanderthal.
But I think it's up to the Birthday boy to decide whether it's craptastic or not!

All boys should know how to bake! Mine made me cheesecake.
It's lovely.
Oh and Happy Birthday Erpy!

Re: Happy Birthday Erpy!
I think Stijn has fallen into a Crepe trance from eating too many birthday pancakes.

Hey sorry I'm late happy birithday
Re: Happy Birthday Erpy!
Actually, the kind of pancakes they serve at the pancake restaurant nearby are so chockfull of calories most people can only eat one. In fact, after finishing my apple-pineapple-sugar-whipped cream pancake, I had to eat a piece of the cheese-salami-olive pancake my sister couldn't finish anymore as well. That combination would put most people into a trance, actually.
Re: Happy Birthday Erpy!
Happy Belated Birthday Stijn! It sounds like you had fun. Yep, I eat the heck out of crepes myself, and think they're better than pancakes.

Happy Birthday mate! Hope it's a great one and your 30's are a great decade. The biggest thing I noticed about my 30's was the arrival of a gray hair or two. Some people have mentioned to me that I only got gray hairs after I met my now wife. So read into that what you will....
Re: Happy Birthday Erpy!
So as long as I don't get myself a wife, I'll be fine. Gotcha.

Dang. Sorry I missed the party, Erpy; it's been busy here (and I lost power extensively yesterday). I'm jealous of those crepe-cakes.

I know someone who was going gray at 18. I also know somebody who was quite visibly balding at 16.
