Fantastic! This is so exciting, and that screenshot has me ready to buy my copy. It will also be interesting to read excerpts from the artists throughout the book. This definitely had to be made, and I hope it's a huge success. :)

I said I would buy 4 copies if you released the project in a physical format, and I still stand by that.

Just please don't release it both as a hardcover and a paperback.. Or I might have to buy both versions as well :)

Looks awesome! Is this book only going to cover a certain time period of Sierra games? Is it going to cover the EGA games, as well as the ones with the hand-painted backgrounds?

I am agreeing with the others. Is this a book that will be sold as a hard copy or online? Also, just like some of the others have asked, does it contain ALL of Sierra's games, even the earlie games?

like the Hi-Res Adventures? Although there wasn't that much of art in these games :-)

"Hi-Res Adventure #0: Mission Asteroid"
"Hi-Res Adventure #1: Mystery House"
"Hi-Res Adventure #2: The Wizard and the Princess" a.k.a. "Adventure in Serenia"
and so on...

I can't say too much about the "Art of Sierra" project and what it's going to include except that, yes, it will include a wide variety of games and concept-art wise there will be many hand-painted backgrounds featured. The focus is on the big picture - and that includes packaging, box art, and finished artwork. There will be something for everyone! :)

I want two copies. I will buy it in electronic or hard copy, though I prefer a paperback as shown above.

I absolutely love that you guys are working on a project like this. It'll be wonderful when I can hold this book in my hands and reminisce, the good old days.

Heartfelt thanks to AGDI for keeping the spirit of adventure kindled.

Has this been released? I went to the website and all I ended up with was a link to the Facebook for the project that hasn't been updated in months. This is something I totally want to get when it's available!
