I am interested in what people think the dollar value of the sierra classics IP would be?

Surely it is decreasing over time, it is surprising to me that it wasn't sold years ago. Surely can't be worth much now?

Another one bites the dust. Honestly, I think the Sierra-style EGO chat room Martin made years ago (Good Old Adventures) was a lot less infringing than this was since it was just a bunch of AGI-styled EGOs (some official) wandering around Sierra screens and talking. But Sarien.net was the actual games themselves.

I think the clinch came when he started advertising it as an iPad app. He shouldn't have done that.

Sounds sad never really checked it out When it was around but still. But I hope nothing like that ever happens to AGDI or IA. Sometimes copyright laws can be so unfair but we do need them.

AGDI DOES have a license. Sarien.net didn't.

Good cause I'd hate to see you guys go and I'm assuming IA has a license too.

Because both groups are brilliant. In fact I hope this is not too off topic but I lied a long time ago on this forum about hearing a rumor about AGDI and IA coming together as one. I just thought it would be an awesome idea and hoped it would happen if I said that. But eventually figured out y'all were one at one time and it didn't work out.

But then again y'all remained friends and keep friendly competition. If any competition could be said to be in existence between y'all being y'all are able to share Kq3 as well as not being mean about things. That's why I like y'all guys. But I hope I didn't make anyone here mad by lying because I only meant it as a compliment. But I don't think y'all would be after all y'all have been cool about me despite my low self esteem being so annoying. Plus I meant the lie as a complement in a way anyways.

AGDI and IA both the most awesome forums/game remakers forever!!! :D

To my knowledge, the only groups that received a fan license were AGDI and Phoenix Online Studios (KQ9). I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure IA never asked for one.

I think the main reason that IA hasn't received any kind of C&D is because they haven't ruffled too many feathers. Once you attact a ton of attention to yourself, companies like Vivendi and Activision have to take action. I agree with MI. The fact that he started advertising as an iPad app probably got him too much attention which demanded action from Activision.

BT and I met on these forums when they were much prettier in green and brown :). Broomie met us through here as well. I think that's the extent of our "working together."

Sorry I didn't mean to make it sound bad. I'm just saying IA how can I say this without hurting feelings? IA is more of a biker bar fun for the tough guys who like to horse play. AGDI is more of a sports bar Kind of more laid back watch the games on T.V. and talk type fun. So things just kind of split but everyone is welcomed at either bar when they are in the mood for a change of venue.

Hmmm... don't know about over there, but here a sportsbar or sportsforum can become really nasty.

IA is more "Animal House" than a biker bar.

That's better, but I always considered IA more like a Adams Family gathering. A bunch of weird and interesting characters... sometimes scary, but funny. Could be because I like Christina Ricci... don't know.

And AGDI like mount Olympus. Everyone behaving nicely on the mount, but you don't know what disguise they're wearing elsewhere.

Just kidding.

If IA is the Adams Family, BT is certainly Uncle Fester. :)

IA is definitely a lesser Addams Family; the originals would never keep Cousin Itt trapped in the cellar. :p

Well I'm glad its back!

I wonder why they C+D it and then allowed it, fan backlash? PR Stunt?

Wow! That's fantastic! So now he can at least have just the first games of each series available?
