Quest for Glory 1-5 on GOG.com!

Check out Quest for Glory on GOG here.

I saw the series for sale and immediately thought back on AGDI's QFG2 remake :)

It'd be pretty cool if GOG.com included this remake or at least had a link to it for free download.

This pack also includes both the remake and original version of QFG1, unlike all the other Sierra collections on GoG and Steam.

GoG are usually good at repairing longstanding issues with the older games they release. Hopefully they nailed it down.

I've been checking the games over for the past hour now and so far they're all spotless. I'm particularly impressed with their music in QFG1, their fixing of quicktime errors in 5, their flawless voice acting in 4 with absolutely no tinkering on the user end and most of all their config setups for them and their dedicated icons. Makes for an incredible package. I'm expecting you'll be getting quite a few downloads this month.

Quest For Glory Fan - Can you let us know about the bugs? I'm particularly curious about the accumulating one in the CD/voiced version of QFG IV, and the crashes when fighting the dragon in QFG V Dragon Fire. Have they been cleaned up or still there?

I bought the pack immediately and played through QFG1, so I can tell you that they fixed the timing issues in that game and probably the others. They also stated that the fan patch for QFGIV was applied already. I should start a new game just to see, but there was also the readme for the fan patch for the fourth game, so I'm 98% certain that it's applied.

I've only played the opening to QFGIV and I had perfect sound without adjusting anything and I didn't get Error 47 on the slide. Beyond that I couldn't tell you but I haven't had any bugs so far and all patches are applied. I also launched QFGV seamlessly. It freaked out a bit on the opening cinematic using the old quicktime but it all still worked. No one on the GoG forums has confirmed if the dragon crash or the magnet crash is still there though. I'm guessing because so many people are replaying from the start. I am and am about halfway through 2 so I'll let you know if anything at all crops up.

The aforementioned accumulating bug in IV seems to be still there. Shame.

V seems fixed in all ways. Still crashes on rare occasion, but not persistently like I remember, especially during the dragon fight.

I'm trying to stop myself from buying these, at least until they are on sale. I have so many copies it just doesn't seem right.

But it would make things so much easier...
