Eggs and Curiosities (spoilers)
Here is a list of things I've found that are either (a) easter eggs, or (b) things that may not be eggs yet you can miss entirely even when you get a full score.

* Swim south of the dock at the beginning and you can see your ship leaving in the distance.

* Assorted books in the town library refer to other games and places. Some of the boxes above one shelf are Sierra games. One bookshelf has a manual that surely has been recently read by the greedy merchant.

* Click the hand icon on The Father during the Second Test for the Air Gem.

* If you've answered the first two tests for the Air Gem correctly, witness "The Madness of King Graham."

* Pay attention to the chandeliers in the Third Test for the Air Gem. Click the eye icon on the chandeliers in the entrance hall of Count Caldur's castle.

* Talk to the log near Hagatha's cave

* See the Batmobile at Hagatha's cave

* Visit Grandma's house while on the quest for the tiara; sometimes you will find another visitor there.

* Sometimes clicking the talk icon on King Graham will generate a reference to King's Quest V.

* Wait a while in the Enchanter's cave after creating the emerald.

* Talk to Possum until she describes the bat's bane (first time I played, I ran off to find the basket rather than continuing the conversation).

* Talk to Count Caldaur in the dining room of his castle before running off to get the tiara. Talk to his wife. Talk to the Count again to get the full story behind The Brotherhood.

* Enjoy the epitaphs on the tombstones; look for anagrams of famous names (eg, Marlon Brando).

You try to introduce your fist to his face. Unfortunately, you hit thin air as the image before you is merely an illusion. The father asks if you didn't expect him to have learned his lesson since the first time. (it's a reference to the ending of the game)

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashh ...

Re: Eggs and Curiosities (spoilers)
Oh, and another easter egg I've found was a reference to kq4 (when Graham hopes that this wont be grave digging and avoiding zombies). I have also found a glitch. When you are stuck in between the bridge and you drink the potin, you wont turn into a child, you will stay as king graham, however, you still die as if you turned into a child! interesting...

And about talking to the wood holding up the poles in front of Hagathas cave...are they refering to what I think they're refering to... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... proace>Pro Ace at: 12/28/02 9:21:06 pm

The changing headstone has 10 different messages. The lines about Arnold and Crocodile Dundee are just two of them.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashn ...

I got a message when clicking on a bush that said it was painted on and could not be taken. Wait for the 3D version.

10 Headstones, 7 Bible pages, right?

Didn't find anything at the swamp dock in the day, except no ghoul. Also, no visitor in Grandma's bed when armed with device.

Easter Egg
Look at Dragon Head in Antique Shop.

Yep
Actually, I might use this minor thing to open up a new storyline. Maybe they only appear to be Vampires, maybe they are afflicted by something concocted by the Spirits of the Wild, since there were no true Nosforatu available? It is only an idea, but I really think Connor should pay them a visit later.

Re: Cave with glowing bat...
Maybe a suggestion if there are any future patches... make the game aware that you have already seen the Batmobile once in the game? Once is delightful (especially with the nostalgia value from the original KQ2) but having to wait for the sequence to play out on future passes through this screen is somewhat tedious. (or can it be bypassed by pressing ESC?)

?
Well, unless you are incredibly lucky, it is unlikely that you will see it more than once or twice. I wandered around for hours, probably passing that cave forty or fifty times, and I only saw it once.

Re: Batman
I thought I'd not see it at all, but it happened the first time I went on that screen. Made me jump cause I wasn't expecting something to come out at that moment and had the sound cranked up. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
------------------
I think therefore I am ... the Batmobile
i thought i was suffering from adventure gamers fatigue when i saw that !!! classic surprise, loved it !

Re: ?
I must be pretty lucky then - I would estimate I've seen it on at least 10% of my passes through that screen (by contrast, your once in 40-50 times is 2 to 2.5%)... I'm guessing it's a certain small random chance, and I just keep rolling boxcars, so to speak? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)">

The car...................................................
It also surprised me. because I didn't know there was such an easter egg(I've played the orginal and never encountered it.), I wasn't sure if Hagatha whould randomly appear and chase, like in the orginal, and I thought it was Hagatha and then the car comes speeding out. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
The Knight
"You don't know the power of the sarcasm side of the forum."
