Alternate Ending

Are there two differnt endings in KQ2 or did I dream it? I heard somewhere that KQ2 has a diffent alternate ending? If this is true what is it? Maybe for KQ2-original, but I dont think it is true for KQ2VGA. If there is another ending - I'd like to see it.

AFAIK, the closest thing to an alternate ending is to not pick up the ring from the graveyard. So picking up the Youth potion is a complete waste of time then?

You can solve the last Hagathe puzzle with or without the youth potion, but that doesn't change the ending at all. I don't recall having a use for it though, the only things I know you do with it just kill you. Well you know what I mean. Giving Potion to Hagather - Big Mistake Drinking Potion - Big Mistake Having a bath in the potion - Big Mistake... wait that never happens. GULP!

The last book gives a hint about that. There is an alternate message if you don't have the ring, and I think there's a message about losing the potion if you get it but don't use it then. There aren't any very different ending sequences possible, though.

KQ2VGA has 1 ending, but KQ6 has 2 endings. Though I only know of one. Can somebody tell me what they both are?

KQ6 has two "main paths" to the goal. There are many different variations of the only ending the game has. The game can differ in who attends the wedding and what the future of the land of the green isles will be like. <img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashh ...

Well the one I know of is the one the save games from the collection bring you to (don't worry I did see the end of the game without cheating with those saves). You rescue Casimma's parents from the Realm Of The Dead and fight Alhazred at the end and you get married and Casima's parents are there etc....What can you tell me from that? Well, there is a second (shorter) path where you don't enter the Realm of the Dead. For instance you don't cast any spells in that path. Instead of going back to the Island of the Mists after you've brought Beauty to the Beast you go to the Castle. Just be aware that this still is not an alternate ending, per say.
