Well, this is a fan game, so path finding is almost non-existant when it comes to near-death situations like that. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> And, if it's not too much trouble to you, would you please not use the word retarded? There are people who has disabibilities, and...well, nevermind. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /frown.gif ALT=":(">

Heh, feel lucky we made it impossible to die by falling off the stairs. There are more stairs than bridges in the game.

<img src="http://members.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nas ...

Bridges are larger than stairs!

#4 Post by morganams » Thu May 15, 2003 7:06 pm

What kind of a guy won't fall from the stairs but would fall from a bridge (which, btw, is LARGER)?!?!?!?! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Graham's IQ test

Yes... Graham...

Did Graham ever make a IQ test? Daventry IS in danger! Well...

You know that the player is supposed to control Graham, right? Well, isn't it true that a dummy is only as good as his ventriloquist? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

~Wolfgang

Ventriloquism

#8 Post by morganams » Thu May 15, 2003 10:29 pm

You may be great at Maths but with a English book you won't get any place.

Also, some ventriloquists are great even with a broken dummy! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Although I wouldn't be a good ventriloquist... Actually, Graham isn't retarded, Graham is You! You are Graham... so Graham only falls off a bridge because you deceided too. But Lucasarts games (Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle) have two people in one person, so you may want to walk off a cliff but Guybrush doesn't want to, but in Sierra, you are the one person who makes decisions.

"Who am I? It takes only two clicks for me. One at the middle of the bridge and the other on the other side. And Graham never fell in that way for me.
The Knight

I am not Graham!

#12 Post by morganams » Fri May 16, 2003 8:59 pm

Broomie: If Graham was me, be sure he wouldn't fall of the bridge! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> And also I don't have a hat like his! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

The Knight: For me it takes only two clicks too... I was exagerating (eheh) But think of it: isn't it LOGICAL that the guy must cross over the bridge? Why do I need to show that to him?

Although it's fun to see him founding the gravity of his situation... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /devil.gif ALT=":evil">

The same goes for a chasm. Isn't it logical that if you steer towards a chasm, the character stops at the edge and thinks "NO WAY!"? That's not exactly the case in Sierra adventures. When you tell Graham: "Walk towards this point in a straight line", Graham will do so. If there's a bridge between that point and Graham, he'll cross. If there's a chasm in that straight line, it hurts to be you.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashh ...

It is one of the many features of KQ. Almost every KQ has that sort of puzzle (if it's a bridge, a narrow cliff, you name it).
