If you click on the talk icon on the log behind Hagatha's cave, Graham says "King's Log: Year 1676 A.L. What does A.L. stand for?

"American League"

Didn't you know how popular baseball was in Daventry, as evidenced by Graham and Malvolio playing outside in the carrot patch? Yep, and even the Kolyma history books favour the junior circuit, as Kolyma and Daventry had the first two AL teams. They used the inception of the sport as a basis for their time-numbering system. Alas, not even a kingdom ruled by Vampires could compete with the true Evil Empire and were eventually contracted (actually, the Kolyma Undeads are now the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, but out of respect to and/or fear of embarassment of Caldaur and Co. they leave that part out of the history books).

~Wolfgang

I always thought it meant "After Love" As Graham was "after love." It also means Al Low, who worked on the Larry series. It was an easter egg.

"There is a tale about a man who wished to find a route to the stars.
