Region Lockout
I just have one question about the PS3...why does Sony feel the need to keep region lockout in place for the PS2/PS1 compatibility?

I haven't gotten aronud to adding you yet (I'll try to do that today), so you won't be seeing anything from me, but once you're added at the other side (it takes a couple of hours for that to be registered), the names will turn black in the address book and you'll be able to write to those people.
A while after you've added people, you'll also see mingling Miis appear in the Mii Parade, which you can access from the Mii Channel (assuming WiiConnect24 is on, you are connected to the internet on the Wii, etc.).

Where do I find my code? do I have to be connected to the internet? I'll get around to that eventually but I don't have any online games so for now there isn't much of a point.
P.S. Red Steel is alright, I'd play it but I don't know if I would but it just yet, if you're looking for a wii shooter rent it, the animation reminds me of XIII a little bit.

that's what I was saying, why would I hook myself to the internet if I don't have any games for it.Angelus3K wrote:I havnt had time to add you either yet.
QFGF, there are NO online games yet lol. The Wii shop is pretty cool and of course you can download the Weather, News, Opera and Everybody Votes channel aswell as update the Wii's firmware.

it's just not worth the effort for me at the moment. 600 for the PS3 is absurd I'm sorry, I'm not buying it unless it's really cheap and MGS4 is too orgasmic to resist. Same goes for the PSP. Not sure what the exchange is or was at the time but I bought a Wii and a 360 for the same price asa PS3 and I'm pretty sure I'm happier now than I would be with Ridge Racer. besides, my PS2 is really enough for me at the moment. With games being this cheap I still have a few great ones to get through, I decided to get 100% in San Andreas while I wait for IV and I'm currently at 3.64%... almost there.

The question should be not why wasting $600 on a PS3, but why wasting a single dime on a console, any console?Boogeyman wrote:Still better than wasting $600 on a PS3!Angelus3K wrote:As I said News, Weather and Everybody Votes channel.
Why pay $200+ on a Wii and not use it too its fullest.
As is, most of the good games are ultimately ported to the PC, and when some don't, hey, you can always run them 5 years later on your computer by an emulator (why hurry? It's not like there's a shortage of games out there.... ).
When you buy a console, it's like getting a screwed up computer that can play only a few selected games, as some games are released to a specific console (like Twilight Princess...) and not to other consoles (Twilight Princess is not for the PS3, Xbox 360...). So those who have a PS3 cannot enjoy now Twilight princess, whereas those who have a Wii cannot enjoy Resistance Fall of Man, for instance. What gives? Ultimately, the PC can play them all.
Moreover, console games are breathtakingly expensive...
Anyway, if one does buy a console after all, the PS3 should be a good choice, not because of the hardware, I ignore it, but because of the games it's gonna have, like FFXIII and FFVXIII.

Right, let's put that to the test. I've already mentioned Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy Versus 13, two new games in the acclaimed, popular series of Final Fantasy. This alone rebuts your exceedingly ridiculous claimBoogeyman wrote:Actually, there won't BE any good games for the PS3, while the Wii is getting Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and will eventually be getting another Zelda game.
Out of the other good games it's already have I can mention
Resistance: Fall of Man
Virtua Fighter 5 (highly addictive)
One of the most anticipated games to the PS3 (although it will be released for the Xbox 360 as well) is Battlefield: Bad Company.
Your random dislike of Sony in general or just of the Playstation brand in particular really cannot support that statement, as while it has good games, it's just plain nonsense
