Ugh

#26 Post by Brainiac » Sun Sep 11, 2005 4:42 pm

I hate the old "cannot confirm or deny" line; it just makes people seems shifty (and very bad at hiding it).

Oh well, we'll know what's up in a month.

PS - New page = no loading problems (unless Spikey posts again).

As far as I know, amazon.co.uk will usually carry the same products. Just change the .com in the URL to .co.uk, and you'll get to the proper page.

Hmmm... it seems VU is starting to lose grip on their copyrights:

and what about that "Romancing the stone" movie I saw in the video store the other day?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088011/

then again this was relased in 1984 and Kings Quest II (EGA) was released in 1985. I found it interesting to see KQIIVGA above EGA in the list when I typed in Romancing the stones.

Plus the original was actually called Romancing the Throne.

As Broomie pointed out, the original KQ2 played on the name of the movie "Romancing the Stone" but changed it to "Romancing the Throne". After Wookie changed the keys to stones, it was decided to rename the game "Romancing the Stones". It was all based off that original movie. I can remember my mom loving that movie. :)

First you want me to sue you, then you want me to give you a break... perhaps I should just sue you 'til you're broke. :)

Looking through the IMDB search (which I found by BT linking it so cheers to him) I found there was another movie in 2005 called "Romancing the phone" perhaps that could be AGDI's next project.

Good news every one. Vivendi did conferm it they are releasing the classic sierra titles this fall. Some member of the vugames fourms did a anti piracy report to vivendi. And they said we are going to relase the classic sierra titles.
