Well as far as Sega Genesis goes it never had any good RPG games exept Phantasy Star of which I was the only person that I pesonly new that liked that series and the fighting games were all the same as SNES with few exeptions unless you hads a fully upgraded Sega Genesis. That is a Sega 32X and Sega CD of which Sega should have tried making more upgrades to its Genesis. I think maybe instead of saturn a 64 bit upgarade for Genesis and later the Dreamcast could have been the next upgrade but they killed off a perfectly good upgradeable system and eventually Sega killed itself off.and if size is the problem with an upgradeable sytem takle a look a that jumbo sized Xbox its been eating a lot of micro chips. Why I like the Sega CD and 32X I guess I'm easaly entertaned or just crazy. But I've decided to wait on replaceing my Sega cd anyways so I guess I can't complain about the Wii being better cause I know it is but man Iwis I could buy a new upgrade for the old Genesis but it unfortunatly wont ever exist R.I.P. Sega Genesis CD 32X.

I enjoyed the Phantasy Star series myself. Particularly PS4 is a true masterpiece that is easily up there with the FF-games. (more linear and shorter, but those comic cutscenes tell the story in a way the FF games could not)

Shining Force1 and 2 on the genesis were pretty good too, although a bit cheesy. Their focus was really on gameplay, rather than characters and plot.

I absolutly adored Shining Force 2, must replay that game sometime.

I also really love Sword of Vermillion on Megadrive as that was the first RPG I ever played. (I probably loved it so much as it was the closest thing you could come to an advenutre game like KQ on console in those days as my dad had banned me from KQ5 on his PC because I was always on it lol).

Nice one BT what I meant to say in the message above  is the wii to me is the worst gaming system and no self respecting person would even call it a game  system

You're crazy, AMG. The Japanese certainly think it's a gaming system, so I'm confused why you don't...

I never had so much fun as I had playing the Wii.  It's innovative, for sure.

I love playing with my Wii.

...

Ok, that didn't sound right.

But I do enjoy the machine immensely. Just pondering if, outside Virtual Console, there'll ever be any decent (or any for that matter) rpgs for the machine.

As long as both your hands work, you can play the system.  Nothing requires you to move the rest of your body.  My uncle does well playing Tennis just by flicking his wrist.

Are you talking about The Twin Snakes? That wasn't made by nintendo that was made by Silicon Knights... a Canadian company and overseen by Kojima himself. I actually liked that game alot. To date its one of the few Gamecube games I still play. How can you call it a flop?

The graphics are way better but the voice acting lacked the same passion it did In the original

I prefered the new voicing, it fixed many of the translation errors made by the original and they took out some of the accents that contradicted characters. Also May I remind you, not done by Nintendo, Done by Canadians so no shunning of the wii should be apparent.

Another thing AMG is with the Wii you can use the Game Cube controller some of the games two that I know of there may be more are Super Smash Bros. Brawl will use the GC controller and so does Metal Slug Anthology.

And as far as MGS The Twin Snakes go yes you should not mess with the classics unless you work on this web site AGD Interactive ROCKS!  But just cause they remade that game doesn't mean take it out on Nintendo yes they totally slaughtered Star Fox on DS making it only worth playing with a friend or on Wi Fi and of course even though I liked the game Final Fantasy VI Advanced I wanted to kill the guy that came up with the idea to redo the opera song  it was fine the way it was took me forever to memorize the original but things like that happen but a true gamer moves on. I know I'll see another Sega CD some day and play my gory Eternal Champions game again but I can tell you one thing if you have a PS One you can play the original MGS all you want and Nintendo nor the Silicon Knights can take that from you.

Oh and while I'm ranting on games Namco made me furious when they made the first Soul Calibur  game not Soul Edge but the one on Dreamcast Dreamcast only cause Soul Calibur 2 did not have all the character that Soul Calibur 1 had! Really I'd like to see a release of Soul Calibur and Soul Edge in they're original glory on any system mainly the Wii itwould be so great well I better cut this short I've got church. So AMG buy a Wii you won't regret it.

I never knew they remade Soul Caliber one, I just bought the first one on DC and enjoyed. Also *looks at Sig* I don't mind the FFVI remake at all. Now that is portabe I  have something to do during the slow hours of work if I'm not here. Speaking of which Time to go there.

I admit, when I first heard Psycho Mantis say, "You've been playing Super Mario Sunshine haven't you?" it was quite cringeworthy but hilarious at the same time.
