KQ3 is now being remade by Infamous Adventures (www.infamous-adventures.com). Radiant is also doing a remake with original graphics but enhanced story, puzzles.

From what I have seen the interface is being remade and the pc speaker music is converted to midi music. No offense to Infamous Adventures (I know remaking a game is probably a lot of work) but I would rather see a remake like AGDI/Tierra did with KQ2 ... With only an updated interface I might as well stick to the original KQ3.

Uh that's Radiant's version. We're upgrading the graphics too bud.

Well, that's cool. It's more the fun of working on a project, and the fact that there will be people who will like it.

Oops, I probably confused Radiant and Infamous Adventures because Radiant was mentioned in the message at the top of this thread as well.

Well then, I will have to say "no offense to Radiant" instead.

Edit:
I took a look at www.infamous-adventures.com and I have to say the graphics for KQ3 VGA look nice. Is there any KQ3 VGA demo that I can download?

No demo yet. Dunno if there will be one.

It was tied SQ2, KQ3, and COC for me. But I chose SQ2. Second is KQ3 then COC, then SQ3 I guess.

I would "LOVE" to see SQ2 remade. I really liked what Tierra had started on that.

Gold Rush is something that's never been tried as far as I know. So I'd love to see someone do that.

I think there should be more emphasis on remaking agi games than sci ones. Off the top of my head I think that should include SQ2, KQ3...can't think of any others. Oh and I agree with that guy who said in another thread that LSL5 should be remade. The graphics are fine, but the game is very short and easy.

SQ2 would be my personal pick though.

Sorry to say but thats true, ADGI should go for something different now, maybe return production on sq2 vga? It one of sierras finest! |I

In honesty, I might have said KQ3 except that it seems to be in good hands already. I think if any new groups are looking for a game to remake, SQ2 would be the best option.

Goldrush remake would be extremely interesting. It is a no nonsense game wronged by his graphics. (for todays standards)

We already have enough of police/space/hero's/king's quest vga episodes.
We know their style, and a new remake would not add to player's experience much comparing to goldrush which has a different style and introduce us to a completely different period of time and to new characters.

Laura bow graphics are already ok.
Codename iceman is not as interesting as goldrush and it has much better graphics than goldrush.
Black cauldron is for kids, and i would prefer a more serious adventure.
In fact i would prefer seeing a nice vga remake of peasant's quest than seeing black cauldron vga :lol

I would love to see a laura bow 1 VGA remake or a GoldRush Remake.

But Conquests of camelot would be a great choice! :)

An LB remake would be very nice....too bad it's never been attempted.

It's by Jodo Kast. Nobody here believes that he's really going to do it.

Hmmm, I wonder what that last post is about, btw. Lack of support? Crappy reception? (confused)

I've read that post too, and I'm not too sure what she's talking about regarding IA. I think she misread a recent post at the IA forums. (http://www.infamous-adventures.com/foru ... wtopic=157). As for the "Laura Bow Team" which supposedly had 'crappy reception', here's the link and the quote. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/lau ... essage/588

Our team leader, Jodo Kast, posted a LOT about the remake and accepted a few to
help with the game last October and November (2003). All AGDI forum contacts
turned out to be pranksters, and they really were not interested in helping us.

In fact, AGDI forums was so mad at us for making it a 3-D adventure game;
apparently AGDI fans like all of their remakes 100% hand-drawn artwork.

To each his/her own. We don't have anything to prove because the game will
speak for itself.

It's a long process. Jodo's original goal was to allow visitors and fans to
view the game production process, but the negativity from AGDI forum members
convinced us to work on the game secretly, and release it when it's done.

My oh my. What a liar.

He later says they'll have boxes and cds printed as well as manuals....but for some reason don't have the resources to run a website?

Ah, thanks for clarifying. Each to their own, I guess. We're not really responsible for people pranking him (unless they're team members of AGDI) and he didn't really make things easy on us himself either. Ah well, we'll see if something comes out of it someday. I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep over it in the meantime though.

And he claims that VU is ok with their remake. :lol

You're welcome, Erpy.

I'm tempted to jump in there and challenge his post, but I don't think there's anything to gain by doing so. Last time I tried to talk to him, I discovered we were on completely different wavelengths and the points I tried to bring across simply didn't reach him.

I'm willing to bet my pants on it this guy has no permission from VU despite what he says, however. I could ask him for the proof of it (if he had permission, he'd certainly have some sort of legal notification), but I'll probably have more succes trying to talk to a brick wall. Suffice to say, his VU claim is about as ludicrous as that claim in this thread about getting Sam & Max cancelled.

(shakes head, then goes back to minding his own business)

Well, I posted at the Vintage Sierra Boards, to clear up any confusion about IA!

You know, Erpy, you should go to the YAHOO board. Bad things are flying about AGDI over there - and from what I see, it's mostly from the rejects who left here because they couldn't handle civilized conversation.
