Pigs ass you don't need to. Okay, you're right, you probably don't NEED to. But there's been a couple of times already that it's majorly pissed me off because Guybrush has been right at the front of the screen, and I'd like to zoom back a bit to see more.

Another review. This time John Funk of The Escapist says, "The first chapter in Tales of Monkey Island is everything we loved and everything we hated about adventure games."

I wonder if Yahtzee would dare to review this and the Special Edition for ZP soon...

Agreed. I just can't see him going after any return of old-school adventure games with his trademark "Caustic Critic" panache. Thus, I doubt he'd dare to review the MI games; he'd catch more flak than he did for Psychonauts.

Why did he catch flak for Psychonauts? It's one of the few games that he actually seemed to enjoy.

And that's the very reason he did. No one likes it when a Caustic Critic likes a game. Except Portal.

I need a new copy of Psychonauts. I lent mine out so many times the ending wont play properly. I still can't believe how it caught on after all this time, but I'm glad it did. I'm looking forward to Brutal Legend!

I have psychonauts since many years ago, but I've yet to have 1.5Gb of free space on my hard disk to play it. At the time, it was crystal clear to me why it became a comercial failure. :|

Because of the high hard drive space requirements? 1.5 GB is nothing.

1.5 is nothing now but it was still pretty hefty when the game came out. what was that 2001? I think I still had my old 40 gig hard drive. Yes they make bigger ipods than my old computer.

I still have a 40GB now (as well as a 160GB and a 640GB external).

I was explaining to my mum the other night that my memory stick (2gig) is 500x bigger than our first family computer, which had a 40MB hard drive. Ah the days when I had to decide between having Hero's Quest or Space Quest III on my computer.

with all the tv and movies (including a 15gig version of The Dark Knight) on my new computer I've filled the internal 500 gig harddrive and am considering getting another 250 external as my first one is full. albeit 50 gigs of my computer is partitioned for Windows and is almost completely dedicated to adventure games.

Its crazy isnt it, I have 500GB total on my PC which is full, 320GB external drive which is nearly full and 60GB PS3 which is nearly full. (Not to mention an assortment of micro SD cards betwee 2-4GBs which are full lol).

There's just not enough GBs in the world!!

must... get... more .... space!

I just got a 1TB drive for 100 bucks.. that is insane. a few years ago i got a 120 GB for about the same price.
i think my next pc will have a minimum 1TB drive internally. it's amazing to think how far we've come.. i used to load up games on floppies!

Telltale has gone on record as saying insult swordfighting's "been done to death!"

I personally didn't feel we needed it in another game anyway. A reference to it (like the beginning of Narwhal) is always a nice nod, but to bring it all the way back would feel like a cop out. They've done great, original things in Narwhal, I'd like the rest of the episodes to follow that vein.

I agree. Pay tribute to the past but don't be bound by it. Unless Orson Scott Card knocks on Telltale's door willing to write new insults. Then they'd better put the system back in. :p

I love the insults in the swordfighting and whatnot, but honestly every time I come to that point in the game I dread it. Even if you know what to do it takes so long to get through. It was fun once. Personally I wouldn't have even had it in CMI if I was the designer.

It would have been nice to have as an option, like for a puzzle branch. And perhaps applied to something else, like Insult-Gambling. Agreed that it gets long but if it was any shorter (with less reply options), it would be too easy to find the correct response, I think.
