Hey, I read the book titles, they're pretty funny. I like the message you get when you click the net on Graham, it has signifigance to me because I am into those "tie up" games.

Also in the antique shop ther is a red hat next to the cartridge retrieval system. Try to take it. It's actually Simon's hat from Simon the Sorcerer 2.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

I noticed a few things the last time I played.

A book talking about the attraction of shrimp and barbecues.
If you give the pearl to the merchant before taking the pumpkin, his accent will change to an Australian accent.
Lastly, on the right side of the SQ1 bot there is a can of 7-Up.

I particularly got a kick out of the two Australia references. I wonder who thought those ones up. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p">

Don't go out the same way you did the last time
You'll break when you fall
Don't make the same mistakes you did all over
You've got to believe in yourself this time

wolf

#56 Post by GabrielKnight52 » Sun Feb 02, 2003 11:00 am

How exactly do you find the "wolf in grandma's clothing" easter egg? I'm at the point right after the flying horse drops you off at night and I don't have the needle or reed.

Earlier on this thread someone mentioned the "til beyond your reach" easter egg (it's a reference to MoE). I've found that this occurs the best while on top of the mountain.

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /alien.gif ALT="0]">

You have to enter the house after Grandma has left it. I believe you just have to avoid the reed as you need the needle to get to that point.

I found the wolf.

I discovered that you MUST get the silver needle (as without it Little Red Possum Hood wont show up). Then proceed until you find yourself on the quest for the tiara but don't pick up the reed.

Then, the only time he shows up is just after you "whack" the three wolves, before you re-enter the swamp. You can visit Grandmother's house <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> then run away. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /alien.gif ALT="0]">

ps. I found another egg: Just after you dismount the flying horse at night, listen to the tolling of the church bells. It's taken directly from "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the fathers" <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... night52 at: 2/3/03 5:01:39 am

But! But!

#65 Post by Queen Mushroom » Tue May 20, 2003 7:13 am

Everyone knows sharks ARE fish to begin with! So ha!

Anyway. I suppose C&L are supposed to have Germanic accents, but the presence of a gutteral R makes them sound more Gallic. That's really the only problem this European had with the game: the accents are terrible.

Considering that the Voice actress who did Lavidia's voice IS German, I imagine that she sounds more like authentic German than French.

And you found Connor do be one of the most annoying voices in the game? Cool! Examining the birdcage gives you a rather chilling letter that Graham will not understand the implications of until 2 decades later.

It's a letter from a certain other sorcerer talking about how it will be a pity to have to kill his 17-year old serving boy, and "needing a replacement soon."

It also discusses how his brother is getting interested in women - particularly a yet-to-be-born girl that will be born to an "older royal couple."

Damn near spit out my soda when I read that. If ever there was a smoking gun regarding "Alex and Cassie...."

You will see an easter egg if you speak to skulls. Murray (From Monkey Island) and Bonehead will appear. :D

I just finished the game and now I wanted to enjoy the Easter Eggs I missed, like the Tests one. Does anyone has save games? I only have saves of the last part of the game.

I don't have any saved games. However, since you now know the solutions to all the puzzles in the game, you really can progress through quite rapidly. In fact, if you just started again, you would most likely get to that point before you were even able to get any saved games. Have fun! :D
