Hmmm... I don't know much about AGS myself, but some people said they had to re-install the game, and then it worked. Otherwise you have some program installed that prevents you from changing sound settings. A music player or something??

* Sorry. Was a double-post. Didn't think it was possible with the time-limit setting. *

I fixed my music issue. I had my MIDI set to I/O when I was using my MT-32 last. My fav tune so far is the Code Name Entertainment: Mirror of Dreams screen with the like fruit all over the ground or whatever that is. I noticed also that when you first start the game just before it goes full screen the window is named "Quest For Glory 2 VGA" in the taskbar.

I'm still stuck at those bloody riddles..I can't even get the first one!! I suck at riddles.

The first time that I tried to play the game, it worked fine.  But when I try to start the game again, I repeatedly get the same message:
---------------------------
Illegal exception
---------------------------
An exception 0xC0000005 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = 0x0046219B ; program pointer is +151, ACI version 2.62.772, gtags (2,194)

AGS cannot continue, this exception was fatal. Please note down the numbers above, remember what you were doing at the time and notify CJ on the Tech forum.

The error that fluxmaster posted happened to me too, exactly when I went south from the town gates.

I really think all this project merging thing is a joke, it is not a very professional looking game, the original projects looked better!
Also I found something interesting, when I played the game on a window, the application name was Quest for glory 2 VGA. Any explanation on this?  :)

Huh??? The original projects looked better???! You all do know that the stuff used were ingame screens, right? It's the same thing you're looking at.

First of all great game. But I need help. I am stuck on one of the riddles, the last riddle.

And I can't find that herring.

But like I said in the beginning this is a great game. Your teams are now a real competitor to AGDI. I also like the voices. I give this game 75% or shall I say B+   but I haven't finish that game so this score could change after that.

I'm not sure there is a herring. Even if there is, there at least two other ways to get past the Knight besides the herring.

As to the last riddle, here's a hint: stop thinking about physical things. It's more conceptual.

If there's no shop, how would one get a fish?

The knight tells you where to get the herring from...
Get one from a pool of water. :P
Anyway, I enjoyed the game. But I have to say I really hope this is some elaborate April Fools joke. I mean, after following a lot of those projects for years it seems more than a little disappointing for them to be reduced to a single game that takes half an hour to complete.

But it was a good half hour, I guess.

Yeah, I'm almost 100% sure this is a joke. I think they're just trying to milk it for all it's worth. :rolleyes

:p So are we gonna wait FOUR years again for the REAL Projects to be released. (Codename Entertainment, Hero6, Infamous Adventures, Project Katrina, Solar Crescent Studios). :) Because you guy's were doing a really good job with Hero6 and KQ3VGA. I were really looking forward to them. :(

I agree with you, Daventry. Maybe SSS is going to be a professional April Fool Day Game Maker. And the old projects are going to make their own games.

The bandwidth of the SSS website did exceed the limit, and thus isn't accessible at this stage. We're working on getting a temporary page setup while waiting for the main site to be up again. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

woo woo!  we got slashdotted!  too bad we only got the bad part of a slashdotting (the fFlashcrowd) but not the good part of a slashdotting (the actual slashdot publicity).  oh well.

hey!  thanks to everyone who has downloaded the game so much the server crashed!!  I'll take it as a compliment!!!  As swift said, we're working on it.
