Finally got the Blue Hedgehog award - 31 min 55 sec and the Grudge award on that run - not sure what I did to earn it, but I'm glad I got it - I wasn't really sure what it was for. I'm trying to think about what I need to remove to get the Underachiever award. I believe the Infamous Award may have something to do with the town. I got it after I tried something different in town - not sure though.

On my second replay I got the following awards:
Perfectionist – for getting 210 points
Dag-nab-it – for using the dagger on the spider web
Problem Child – for not doing any chores and irritating Mannanan
Rise and Shine – for waking up Mannanan when he sleeps
Molasses – for taking 2hours 40mins to complete the game
Shortcut - for turning into an Eagle and flying off the mountain
Stockholm – for talking to Mannanan repeatedly??? Not sure about this one!
Legenimor – for talking to the hooded man in the clearing
Goldilocks = for trying all three chairs, beds and porridge

I did not get these in this game but they were unlocked in a previous game:
Insomniac – for not sleeping
Klutz – for bumping into the anchor near the store

[EDIT] I did buy a drink from the barmaid but did not get any award for this... Reloaded the game and found out if you buy two drinks you behavior becomes interesting... will try to complete the game with this scenario later...

I think the stockholm award is more then just talking to Mannanan. I think its also doing your chores and not getting punished by him. So Gwydion starts to see his lack of abuse as an act of kindness... I'll test this out my next time thru. I have a few other thoughts about some of the other ones too.

Well I didn't do ANY chores and was punished several time (turned into a slug, made to exercise, sent to room and I think hung in the kitchen.) Eventually if I couldn’t do anything to irritate him as the game would end... so I didn't try anything further to make him mad...

I actually got punished by Manannan 3 times AND received the problem child award, but still also received the Stockholm award.

BTW, can it be that the Scatterbrain award is for using BOTH the stone and the sleep powder to escape the Yeti? I did them both and got the award - just a thought.

I received the Scatter Brain award for only using the stone but I didn't use the stone in the cave. I used it outside the cave several times and Yeti gave up after awhile.

No, the scatterbrain award used to be called the litterbug award. It's the opposite of cleaning up after yourself.

As for Stockholm, it's more or less the opposite of the grudge award in terms of criteria.

The pacifist award is somewhat related to the dag-nab-it award.

The infamous award is obtained by emulating bandits and pirates in a certain trait, though it's also a bit of a playful jab at a group of people who shall remain nameless. :p

Just had a really good runthrough that time. 210 points in 2:16:21.

I recieved in one run:

Perfectionist Award, Dag-nab-it Award, 'Enry the 'ermit Award, Molasses Award, Scatterbrain Award, Gluttony Award, Pacifist Award, Shortcut Award, Stockholm Award, Klutz Award, Infamous Award, Mr. Bigglesworth Award, Legenimor Award, Dolittle Award, and Goldilocks Award. :)

So that just leaves me with:
Consolation Award
Lightweight Award
Neat Freak Award
Roger Wilco Award

I don't know if it was my imagination or not, but this time i saw something fly across the desert (left to right) , i couldn't figure out what it was and it didn't happen again, i tried, i wasn't looking at the top of the screen when it went across. Don't know if it means anything or is an easter egg or something. Maybe it was just a bird, i don't know

I got the Lightweight award. To get this one, think about your inventory.

It was only half bird, actually.

Neat freak award is somewhat related to sloth award.

Roger Wilco is about certain items.

Okay, my first playthrough, it took a very long time, well over 5 hours, but much of it was wasted when I couldn't find the proper place to find the mud. I even thought about watering desert sand, watering some dried plants, which perhaps thus would createinto mud, or obtaining that wet beach sand when the waves were moving, but finally found it out, and yeah, it was easy... sigh.

Anyway, the awards I got :

Problem child
Molasses
Klutz
Stockholm
Infamous
Goldilocks

I don't even know what Klutz means, or Molasses, at least in this context. Klutz is not even mentioned in my dictionary :). Stockholm syndrome is a situation where hostages tend to get to like their captors. I am not really sure about what Goldilocks means (golden hair?).

I did ask questions after feeding the wizard, perhaps that gives the Stockholm award?

But this gives weight to the claim that games certainly improve ones language skills (I am not native English speaker). :) And that is a good thing :).

Your English comes across as being as good as a native speaker's, actually. But some of these award references are cultural or highly idiomatic.

A 'klutz' is a very clumsy person.

Molasses is a type of syrup. It is highly viscous and flows very slowly, and we have the expression, 'slow as molasses'.

Goldilocks is a character from the children's story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. You can read a version of it here:
http://books.google.com/books?id=yZUNAA ... &q&f=false

(Or, if you don't want to read the whole thing, I suppose I could summarize it for you).

I wonder if the Stockholm Award is about kicking the cat and becoming like my captor... In the game I received it, I kicked the cat so many times I felt sick about my behaviour... (I like cats actually)

I got Stockholm without kicking the cat. Additionally, I was never punished, I talked to Manannan after four different meals (the maximum, it seems), and it took several more meals before I managed to defeat him. So, I was dealing with him for nearly two hours, I think.

Okay, I give up. How can I get Gwydion to trip over the anchor?

You can't. When you warp to town with the magic map and walk east immediately, there's a random chance Gwydion will walk face-first into the sharp end of the anchor.

Klutz is not determined by a single action, btw, but by several.

I got the Infamous Award – for buying two drinks from the bar maid

I had unlocked these before:
Perfectionist – for getting 210 points
Dag-nab-it – for using the dagger on the spider web
Problem Child – for not doing any chores and irritating Mannanan
Rise and Shine – for waking up Mannanan when he sleeps
Molasses – for taking 2hours 40mins to complete the game
Shortcut - for turning into an Eagle and flying off the mountain
Stockholm – for talking to Mannanan repeatedly and trying to talk to him after he refuses to talk to me??? Or feeding him every time he requested food and actually talking to him and trying to talk to him after he refuses to talk to me??? Not sure about this one!
Legenimor – for obtaining the item and talking to the hooded man in the clearing
Goldilocks = for trying all three chairs, beds and porridge
Insomniac – for not sleeping
Klutz – for bumping into the anchor near the store and falling down the stairs multiple times???

I turned into an eagle and flew down from the top of the mountain on two different occasions, and I did not receive the Shortcut award. Might there be more to it than that?

I hypothesize that one may be able to earn the Pacifist award by throwing the knife at the web, and then not retrieving it later. Has anyone tried this?

Yes you are. There's I think like 5 to 6 or so klutzy actions in the game and to get the award you must do like 3 or 4.
for obtaining the item and talking to the hooded man in the clearing
Close, though there's a few additional criteria, but all of them are related to the Father.
I turned into an eagle and flew down from the top of the mountain on two different occasions, and I did not receive the Shortcut award
Which side of the screen did you leave? There's another way to get this award, btw, that doesn't involve the mountain but does involve getting from one screen to the other while skipping screens you'd have to cross on foot.

I got the Stockholm Award as well.

I thought Manannan added zest to my quest I so made all the spells before transforming him to a cat.

I do think that keeping Manannan "alive" even if you can transform him earns you the Stockholm Award.
