blockchecker - Scam or for Real?

#1 Post by Alias » Sun Sep 25, 2005 8:48 pm

Take a look at this website:

<LINK REMOVED> Virus.

I don't want to risk downloading this program so I'll let you guys do it, as you can see on the website is it possible for a program to reveal who blocked you? Strange.

I suppose you haven't had anyone say to you.

"Hi, check out this new program called Block-Checker.com ect."

So yes, it's a virus.

I've seen this before adn you'd have to be retarted to fall for it. Whoever made Blockchecker (assuming it was real) stands with nothing to gain from you downloading their software. Thus it's stupid because that's not how the world works

Since the linked was removed i don't know what Block Checker your talking about. But the one from the website with the name block checker in my opinion is not a virus. It does work but, it will send a message to all your contacts each time they sign in saying to download it. Therefore i delete it after it's served its use to me.

My virus scanner (Trend 2005) had no problems with it but Microsoft Antispyware didn't like it (oddly enough)
